Ghost House

Description

Kai has just moved into a old house in the middle of the woods. All he wanted was peace and quiet, time to sort himself out....but he quickly realizes he's not alone in the house. There are ghosts living there with him, and they're not going anywhere.

The first ghost Kai saw was Baekhyun.

He'd just bought the aging house that sat in the middle of the woods outside of Seoul. A former dancer, Kai had fallen and broken his leg. It hadn't healed correctly and his career was over. He hated it, hated that he couldn't do what he loved the most anymore. His family did nothing but irritate him, the same for his old co-workers. So he packed up everything he owned and moved into a house he had never seen before.

Kai wanted out of the city so badly he didn't stop to think about why the house was so cheap.

When he arrived, the house didn't look like it was falling apart. Once inside though, he saw the damage. Dust covered everything, furniture broken, paint chipped and ceiling cracking. Kai sighed and moved into the kitchen.

      CRASH!

Kai froze. What was that? He wondered, peering up at the ceiling. It sounded like something fell over. Assuming it was nothing, he went to grab his bags.

      CRASH!

      BANG!

      THUD!

"Is is a freaking raccoon?" Kai asked aloud. He run up the stairs, looking around the second floor. Nothing, he quickly found the steps to the attic. "Alright, little fuzzy thing," he called out. "I'll get you o-"

       He stopped.

It wasn't a small, fuzzy thing. It was boy. A furious boy. Slim, pale, with massive amounts of eyeliner. The boy was screaming curses, throwing and breaking whatever he could get his hands on. He picked up a lamp, smashing it to the floor.

"Hey!" Kai yelled, taking a step forward. "Stop it this is-"

The boy whirled around, eyes red. Not angry red, or passionate red, blood red.

Kai fled downstairs to call the police.

They arrived expecting a violent madman in the attic. They raced straight past Kai, up the stairs and into the attic with tasers drawn. Kai followed after, not sure he wanted to watch them take the boy away. He stopped. The policemen stood in the middle of the room, turning around in confusion.

"Where is he?" one asked. "Where are they? The lunatics?"

Kai peered past them. The boy sat sullenly on the couch covered in sheets and dust. He wasn't concerened. The look on his face was bored.

"He's there," Kai said, pointing. "Right there!"

"We don't have time for prank calls," one muttered. They left, clearly annoyed. Kai watched them go in disbelief. He trudged back to the attic. The boy was still sitting there, almost amused. The boy lit a cigarette and looked at Kai. Kai took a step back. His eyes were hollow and dead.

"Don't you know a ghost when you see one?" he asked.

Kai took another step back. "You're not a ghost," he said. "There's no such things as ghosts."

The boy laughed at that, his voice tired and bitter. "Course there's ghosts. My name is Baekhyun, and I live here."

He looked Kai with an expression of hatred. "Welcome to hell."
