Chp 4: Ready or Not

“A cavern? What kind of carven?” The prince asked anxiously, staring at the fairy. “What’s wrong with the cavern, is it dangerous or something?”
“No, not practically it just might cause a stir with the others, and knowing Yugyeom he’s going to blame this all on me.” The fairy starts pouting, “I should have never followed you. None of this would be my problem then. I could be hiding away in my little hole in the tree, not knowing a thing” Bambam sighs rubbing his hands across his face.
“Yeah, but then the Prince would probably dead, and the horse would still be on the run, so if you’re looking at the bright side, at least you didn’t have to clean up a dead body.” Kwangmin smirks at the smaller. Earning a smack to the head from his brother.
“Thank you for that helpful insight Kwangmin, really.”
Jackson stands to the side watching as the fairy gives the wolf-turned-man a blank stare. Jackson takes a moment to actually look at the thin fairy, and notices how the unnatural color of his hair shines from the reflection of the sun, and his thin cheeks puff out while huffing. He finally lowers his eyes to the giant wings that seem to rest on the boy’s back. A lump forms in his throat witnessing the ruffling of the feathers as the wind blows by them, and making them glisten.
The prince in a breath, he hadn’t realized he was holding, and turns his head to look at the fairy’s face, only to lock eyes with bright questioning green eyes. Jackson blinks a few times before realizing not only are those eyes on him, but so are the others.
“Huh?” Jackson mentally slaps himself, for daydreaming, and not paying attention.
Sighing for what seems to be the umpteenth time, “I said have you got your wits about you enough to get going?” Bambam says again rubbing his forehead. “Can you please say yes, so we can get going, and get your horse before you both do anymore damage?” He says raising an eyebrow.
“You know, for a fairy you sure aren’t kind or patient. But to answer your question, yes I’m ready to go.” The Prince huffs, folding his arms across his chest.
“I’m going to politely ignore the first thing you said, and tell you that you’re gonna have to stick close to me while we travel through the forest because it’s pretty easy to get lost, so just make sure to keep your eyes glued on me at all times, don’t walk away from me, and don’t g
