Prologue~

"Why are you doing this to me." 

Yoona was collapsed on the floor no longer caring about stopping the tears that had been choking her for half an hour.

"I decieved you and I'm sorry." Kai's eyes stared at her emotionless.

"I just needed you to prove to my father that I could settle down and have a mature relationship. Im was only 16 when we first met and my father wanted to see that i could have a relationship. Now i am seventeen and he said i have control of 20% of his companies shares, so i am done with you." Yoona sat at the table stunned and her face full of disbelief,  "You don't think that I would have really picked such a low class girl like you to date. I just needed someone to use, anyone would have been fine. You were just easiest and the most convienient." 

Before he could say anything else she grabbed her soda and threw it at him. But instead of reacting or even looking sad or embarrased he stood still and kept his eyes locked on hers, with drops of coke dripping off his hair. She broke the stare and grabbed her purse, opening it up and tossing the diamond necklace he gave to her only a week ago, when it seemed like they were the perfect couple. " I suppose you will be wanting this back, I don't think you want your money wasted on 'such a low class girl like me'. First tell me, was any of it real? That night..." she choked forcing the words out. " was anything about that night real?" At this his eyes looked pained but he answered with only silence not taking his eyes of hers. Tasting the salt in from her tears she turned her back and walked away, never intending to look back.

Yoona's tears turned from sadness to anger that she had been decieved. For 10 months she had naively followed and did whatever Kai asked. She felt like they had been the perfect couple, even their first meeting was magical.  She scoffed and suddenly realized that it was too perfect to good to be true, because it was all fake. Like the gangnam girls, it was beautiful but could never be genuine. Wiping her eyes she took off her heels that he had given her for their 100th day anniversary and threw them to the garbage cans. They were probably worth more than what she could make working full time for 10 years. Realizing her dress was a gift from him too she had to get it off. She was calm and composed on the outside but her heart raced. Noticing there was a small store on the corner by the restaurant she quickly used the last money from her paycheck and bought a sweatshirts and shorts. Changing and going back outside she threw the dress by the shoes. Silently she cursed herself and ran and grabbed the dress and shoes and placed them neatly on top of the trashcan. Her memories were painful but they are something important to her. She isn't the type of person to ask questions. But even so a thousand questions went through her head. barefoot, she started the 3 mile walk to her mom's apartment. In that walk she realized that of she never loved him she never would of felt the pain. True love doesn't exist, and if you never love you can never feel the pain of losing that love. 

Kai looked out the window and when she disappeared from his sight barefoot he buried  his head in his hands. His phone started to buzz and he cleared his throat.

"Have you done it son?" The voice on the other line said calm and indifferent. 

"Father I..." he tried to ignore the knot forming in his chest.

"Yes, father. I ended it with her." He heard a booming laughter on the other side and felt infuriated but held himself back from saying anything.

"Good, you were starting to remind me of your mother. Neglecting your work for frivolous dates. I look on your credit card bill and all I see are charges for diamonds, shoes, dresses, even apartment rent for this girl. Wow you sure fell head over heels but I'm glad you realized the error of your ways. If there is anything you should learn in this world it is that love is imaginative and money is god. Now that I know you are nothing like your mother was I can have peace to know that you can take over my company. Good night, son."

When the call ended Kai threw his phone and cried for the first time since his mother died 9 years ago. She was his whole world, always making sure he believed love and happiness is real.He cried now that he lost the second person he had ever loved and cared about. Yoona, the only future he ever wanted. Now the only thing that waited for him was a empty office and tons of cold hard money that would never make him as happy.
