”Luhan.” Minseok whined, “Luhan wake up.”

            ‘I swear if he pokes me one more time with his damn walking stick we’re gonna have a problem.’

            “Luhan I hear you groaning.” Minseok huffed poking the flat bottom of his walking stick into the base of Luhan’s spine.

            ‘I’ll throw that stick right out the damn window we’ll see who’s groaning then.’

            Minseok sighed, “Luhan we’re going to need to have a talk, well kind of. You see I feel like how relationship is one sided. I mean I do all the talking while you just sit there.”

            ‘He thinks he’s funny doesn’t he? I hear him trying to stifle his laughter.’

            “I even came up with the amazing way to communicate and I got all excited to share you and all you did was roll over and snore.” Minseok continued, “By the way your snoring is traitorous I would have someone look into that.”

            ‘I will do anything to make him shut up. Can’t he see that a guy needs his sleep- oh wait.’

            Luhan felt another poke to his abused back and caved in. He grumbled loudly and pushed the covers off. Minseok grinned widely at the sudden commotion, “It’s about time I’ve been trying for over an hour to get you up.”

            ‘He is way too cheerful in the morning to be considered normal.’

            Luhan lazily rubbed the sleep from his red rimmed eyes. He got up from his bed and walked to his dresser, flicking Minseok in the forehead as he passed. Minseok frowned and rubbed at the growing red mark. Luhan quickly shuffled out of his pajamas and into jeans and a long sleeve shirt.

            Luhan clicked the bathroom door shut behind him. He continued to freshen up, brushing his teeth and fixing his knotted bed hair. When he re-entered the bedroom Minseok was dressed and waiting by the door for him.

            Minseok waved Luhan over, “Come on there’s someone I want to talk to during breakfast.”

            Luhan opened the door and waited for Minseok to leave before following. Minseok quickly walked the familiar route he had memorized within the first week he had been here with Luhan trailing close behind. When the pair stopped in front of the cafeteria doors Luhan latched onto Minseok’s wrist and led him through the room, weaving around patients and tables.

            “Would you mind just grabbing a bowl of cereal for me? I don’t care which one.” Minseok asked. Luhan pulled his hand out of Minseok’s grasp, somewhere between the twenty steps from the door to the serving line Minseok’s hand had slipped into his.

            Luhan grabbed the first two boxes he saw, a small carton of milk, and two spoons. He staked the boxes and milks on top of each other in one hand his other hand sneaking back into Minseok’s soft hand. Thankfully, Luhan wasn’t clumsy enough to drop the breakfast.

            He led them to the table in the near back where they sat yesterday. Silently they dove into their meal as if they were wolves devouring their prey. Luhan was the first to finish, shoving away the empty container and waited for Minseok to finish.

            “There’s a nurse I want you to get, tell him that I want to talk to him.” Minseok gently shoved Luhan’s shoulder to get him moving, “You’ll know him when you see him. Most likely you’ll see his ears before you see the rest of him.”

            Luhan scoffed but went to find this mystery nurse. When Luhan spotted him he choked on his salvia, ‘Minseok was right, it’s like his ears enter the room before the rest of his body.’

            Luhan walked up to the nurse and tapped him gently on the shoulder. The nurse turned around with a large goofy smile on his face. ‘Right after the ears his large smile is the next thing you’ll notice.’

            “Is there something I can help you with?” The nurse asked with an ounce of too much joyfulness.

            Luhan nodded and pointed to the lone table in the back where Minseok sat waiting. The nurse’s smile grew wider, ‘I didn’t think that was possible.’

            “Ah Minseok sent you to do his dirty work? Come on let’s go see what he wants.” The nurse laughed. Luhan followed the nurse back to the table and abandoned the nurse’s side to sit back down besides Minseok, “What can I do for you today Minseok?”

            “Hello Chanyeol, I didn’t know you were here today. Since you’re here you might as well sit with us for a bit.” Minseok waved to the seat next to him, though his hand was more waving to the ground than anything.

            Chanyeol rolled his eyes but sat nonetheless, “I see you’ve made a new friend that’s an improvement.”

            Minseok shrugged, “He isn’t anything that special.”

            Luhan flicked him in the arm receiving a playful smirk in return.

            “He’s my roommate, his name is Luhan.” Minseok explained to Chanyeol.

            Chanyeol stuck out his lanky arm, “Nice to meet you Luhan, I’m one of the nurses here, Chanyeol.”

            Luhan smiled at the taller male and shook his hand politely. Minseok sniggered, “He isn’t talking to you, I guess that means he doesn’t like you.”         

            Luhan flicked Minseok again.

            Chanyeol rolled his eyes but went along with Minseok’s act, “Well that’s too bad, is there anything I could do to convince him to like me?”

            Minseok thought for a bit, his finger tapping at the tip of his chin, “Well there is one thing I could think of.”

            Chanyeol rolled his eyes again and gave Luhan an exasperated expression. He pointed to Minseok before making circle against his head. ‘At least I’m not the only one who thinks Minseok is insane.’

            “You see, Luhan and I would like to communicate with each other in private. Luhan doesn’t like to talk to people he doesn’t like. Which is basically everyone but me. So would you mind helping us learn sign language?”

            Chanyeol laughed, “How are you going to see what Luhan signs?”

            “And you’re the one who is trained in sign language obviously you never learned about signing into someone’s hand.” Minseok shook his head in disapproval.

            Chanyeol winked at Luhan, “And what is so important that you must talk in private?”

            A light pink blush dotted across Minseok’s nose and ears. He swatted at the open air missing Chanyeol’s chest by a few inches, “Don’t be a ert.”

            Chanyeol laughed loudly tossing his head back and clutching his stomach. Minseok huffed in annoyance and swatted his hand again this time hitting his target, “Are you going to help or not”

            Chanyeol wiped away a tear in the corner of his eye. When his laughter died down he answered, “Fine I’ll help you only because it’s so cute seeing you get flustered.”

            The dotted pink spread further along his cheeks, “Creep.”

            Luhan chuckled, only to have to come out like a shaky wheeze. Minseok clapped his hands together and cooed, “Look Chanyeol, isn't Luhan’s little wheeze so cute? Do it again.”

            Chanyeol grinned Minseok cooing over an embarrassed Luhan, “Looks like it’s time to go. We can start the lessons tomorrow afternoon.”

            Minseok nodded his head, “See you then.”

            When Chanyeol left Minseok turned to Luhan, “Seriously wheeze again.”

            Luhan slapped Minseok’s hand away where the elder tried to find his cheeks to pinch. Minseok only came close to pinching his neck.

            “No wheeze again it’s so cute. Its sounds like a baby kitten about to sneeze.” Minseok bounced in his seat in excitement.

            Luhan huffed, ‘He’s really lucky he’s cute.’
