The title of a 'witch' is given to those that have been gifted, or rather, cursed with abilities pertaining to dark magic. Do Kyungsoo is one of these 'unlucky' human beings, but unlike those who hide from their gifts, he embraces it. He's mischevious, deceptive, cold, and reckless - which leads to an accident that takes the lives of his family. Broken, ashamed, and still unable to control his gift, he leaves the safety of the Coven, and finds himself falling further and further into the abyss. Soon, he is warned, if he is unable to control his gift, he will lose himself to the darkness - passing the point of no return.

Shin Eseul has never been denied what she wants. As the daughter of the King, she receives whatever she asks for, without question. After making a trip into town, she finds herself at a public execution arranged by none other than her father. It is at this point that she sees a boy making his way to be be-headed. Horrified, she intervenes, and demands that he be spared. She later requests that he be brought to the castle to live and serve as her personal manservant - to which he reluctantly agrees. 

However, there is quite more to this boy than meets the eye, and soon, Eseul shall discover the darkness in the one who once seemed so helpless, and she will be faced with the task of trying to save him once again.
