Ever since Baekhyun was a boy, he had heard stories of those that ran off with the circus. It seemed to be a whimsical life, full of excitement and new adventures, and he couldn’t help but fall in love. However when the chance presents itself, he discovers that nothing is as it seems, and his dream to escape with the chimerical crew has become a nightmare that he wants to escape. With the assistance of a certain fire dancer that goes by the name of Chanyeol, he may have the help he needs - along with just a little bit more.

Baekhyun wasn't sure what it was about the circus that he found so endearing. Maybe it was because the days that he had been able to attend the performances were his best memories. His father would take both him and his brother to see the dancing animals, and grand acrobatics. They would stop through each tent, and never leave without seeing every act. However, after his father's untimely passing, such memories came to a close. His mother believed that the circus was the devil's show, and banned both boys from attending. The elder of the two sons was to focus on his studies, and Baekhyun was expected to train his voice in order to make something out of himself when he grew older. Baekhyun, disregarding his mother's orders, was still drawn to the circus. One show in particular; The Nyx. The circus that arrived only one night, in select cities. He was sure that he would never see the mystical acts, but one day he learns that the very group is appearing in his city. And he vows to see it, even if it's the last thing he ever does.
