By the time Daehyun finished his sixth beer he was starting to lose control of his body; his brain has seemingly detached itself from the drunken boy and vacated the premises accordingly. He squinted his blurry eyes feeling his head swim; he wants to go home so he started to search for his best friend but Youngjae was nowhere to be found. How typical of his best friend to take him to a party and disappear without a single word. “Bastard.” Daehyun mumbled under his breath irritably and gave up his search quickly. The inebriated boy stumbled down a hallway full of random couples making out against the walls or taking up space on the carpeted floor. He accidentally bumping into a few of them and received a few glares and harsh words that went right over his disoriented head. Daehyun was starting to think he should sit down after nearly collapsing onto a coffee table in the main living room which has been transformed into the main dancing area. Daehyun’s never liked dancing much but he sways as he walks to the deafening music blasting through the speakers, he blames the alcohol. He spotted a vacant couch in the far right corner of the room and staggered over to it, he’s gotta get himself together. Unfortunately, instead of being able to close his heavy eyelids like he’d planned he spots a particular girl who is dead set on ruining his peace. Her face is masked in concern as she took in his slumped form, he looked a little lost as his eyes darted everywhere but her, he was obviously ignoring her. She is used to him acting this way but decided to continue approaching him and leaned down so he could hear her and asked. “Daehyun oppa do you want some company?” He turned his head back toward her which made her stand up straight again a little flustered. He glared at her with glossy eyes showing a mixture of confusion and instant annoyance. “No.” He stated simply and turned away again. She smiled at his childish attitude. “Come on oppa, don’t be that way you’re all alone anyways, this is a party lighten up.” He snorted and turned back to her once again. “W-hy do you l-like me so much huh?” He struggled with his words, scrunching up his face as he tried to come up with the right things to say. She rolled her eyes and shook her head, he was so drunk, she took a seat next to him making him scoot away instantly like she had a disease, she frowned deeply at him. “Because Daehyun oppa, I know you’re not actually this cold, you used to be really sweet and share things with me and now you’re like this.” She gestured casually at his entirety and his eyes narrowed at her statement. “I’m not even nice to you but you still come around all the time. Are you even smart? Don’t you have a brain in your head? You shouldn’t like guys like me.” His words startled her and she wasn’t sure how to answer him, what did he mean by guys like me? He just kept on talking. “Why don’t you just leave me alone and go play with your friends?’’ Daehyun grumbled crossing his arms over his chest dismissively but when she didn’t leave he glared at her again and tried to shoo her away with his hands, slurring his words badly. “Go-way Bomi!” She sighed heavily and shook her head. “What happened you Daehyun? You’ve been pushing me away for a long time and I don’t know why.” Daehyun knew that he was pushing her away, but in order to hide his true feelings he shouted at her instead, the alcohol was not helping him either. “When did I say you could call me oppa?” He glared hard at the pretty girl and her face instantly looked a bit wounded until it transformed into a scowl. “Yah! Oppa you’re so loud! Stop shouting in my ear like that! “She grumbled back hiding her sadness with anger. He scoffed and rolled his eyes. “Aish! Don’t tell me what to do I’m older than you are!” Bomi shook her head, he was being even more stubborn than usual but unlike other times it was actually starting to get on her nerves. She pouted and turned her face away from him feeling defeated and admittedly a bit on the wounded side. She can’t help but think that her life would be much easier if she didn’t like Daehyun, but unfortunately her heart never listens to her brain. No matter how mean Daehyun gets she can’t forget about the sweet memories of their childhood
