Prologue
EXILE2070: Parliament House
“They have finally revealed themselves. They live amongst the local citizens, disguised, in hiding. We have only just discovered a few. And from our findings, there are many more, even billions. They lived in secrecy for years, hiding their true colours from the public. They tried to blend in. They tried to act like us. To think like us. But they are a danger to our society.”
“What do you mean Secretary Jung?”
Twenty men sit around a rectangular table. The most powerful men in the government. Their eyes focused solely on the photographs laid in front of them. In each one, disaster captured at its peak.
“Danger, you say?”
“Yes, Mr President. They are great dangers.”
“What evidence do you have to support that claim, Jung?”
The silver-haired man points to the photograph furthest on the left.
“This man has some sort of ability to phase. From what the security cameras show, he was able to pass through from one wing of the facility to the other in just a matter of a minute. He walked straight through thirty-two top-grade, military concrete walls in just sixty seconds.”
The table gasps as each member leans forward to get a closer look of the unsuspecting young man.
“He managed to infiltrate the most closely-guarded system in the military and retrieve top secret information our National Nuclear Project.”
The entire committee widened their eyes in surprised, completely baffled with the revelation.
