He steals a glance at the younger man and can’t help but grin at the sight he sees. It’s a smile. A genuine one. God, when was the last time he saw one of those? He wants to capture it forever, wants to keep it all for himself. Because despite what people think, he really is a selfish bastard, especially when it comes to Jiyong (maybe only when it comes to Jiyong). He lets his eyes linger, longer than they probably should, and he notices.

“Hyung?” Jiyong questions, his voice a soft murmur, a calm whisper.

Seunghyun thinks of all the possible things he could reply with, all the “, you’re so ing attractive”, or “you’re so cute I could bite you”, or even “I just want you to stay happy like this forever…because you deserve it”. But he can’t do that, not to Jiyong, not now at least.

He finally settles on a “congratulations leader” and he means it as whole-heartedly as he possibly can, hoping it translates well.

And it seems to, because before Seunghyun knows it, he’s drawn into a warm tight hug. Jiyong’s small arms are wrapped around his neck and he can feel the soft puffs of his breath against his cheek.

“You too hyung,” he exclaims excitedly, a silly little grin plastered on his face as he pulls away.

If only I could keep you like this forever, Seunghyun thinks as he watches his leader turn away to go meet with more press, his smile never leaving him.
