Chapter 1

Streaks of lights passed by the window of the SUV creating lines that glowed feebly against the dark tinted windows. The neon colours persisted in vision of the onlooker despite passing by in flashes lasting not longer than milliseconds. Jongin closed his eyes, opting to lean against Kyungsoo who was sitting next to him instead of looking at the city pass by. They had been on this road a million times already, to and fro from the recording studio in the SM building. Jongin knew this route by heart now. The streets were deserted, given the late hour and he knew there would be no further developments of interest.

Out of habit, Kyungsoo’s hand wrapped around Jongin’s and the shorter man bumped his head against Jongin. Jongin pouted and snuggled into his hyung and Kyungsoo didn’t bother replying. He was tired, unlike Baekhyun who was still humming in the back seat and also because he knew protests were in vain. Jongin would not move and Kyungsoo had grown used to this arrangement. Next to him, Sehun put his head on Kyungsoo’s shoulder too. Jongin frowned and swatted him away. “Brat” Sehun grumbled before latching onto Kyungsoo more securely. “I’m your hyung!” Jongin protested. “We’re the same age” Sehun reminded him.

Joonmyun’s warning look from the passenger seat effectively ended the argument. They ended up sharing Kyungsoo grudgingly. Joonmyun gave Kyungsoo an apologetic look who shrugged it off. The two maknaes were brats but they were his brats after all. Besides there was nothing to say that he wouldn’t throw those two off when they arrived or he wouldn’t coerce the two into letting him shower first using this very affection.

“Manager hyung” Chanyeol called out suddenly. The sudden seriousness in his voice made everyone turn towards him. “You should look at this” he said, passing on his tablet to Joonmyun. “Can it wait till we reach the dorms?” the manager asked. He was driving and he wasn’t
