Ch 7 [Smile Face]
Touch
Early morning in a quiet neighborhood.
The neighborhood in question seemed fairly well off with the recent increase in the number of more luxurious houses. There, one Western-styled home stood out.
A slightly heavy-set man with a good-natured sort of face sipped a cup of coffee from the tea table on on the yard. His incredibly leisurely expression remained as he finished off the coffee and brought the cup inside. He left the cup in the kitchen and moved his hands to grab the newspaper. Behind him stood an impossibly beautiful young woman who approached him. Despite her graceful features, her expression was stone cold, dripping with a chilling sense of foreboding.
In her hands lay a cutting knife with a sharp edge. She lifted her arm. Before the blade could dig into the man’s back, he spun around. The man restrained her easily by grabbing her wrist, and pushed her against the wall.
Heavy breathing filled the room.
“Haha… Is this the twenty third time? That was fairly close.”
“Yeah, that’s a real shame. I really could have killed you this time.”
Such violent words were exchanged like they were nothing.
He ripped the knife from her and threw it into the sink.
“You’re very stubborn.”
“Same as my father who you killed, don’t you think? That’s the amazing thing about a blood tie...”
“Han Suzy, isn’t it about time you gave up? You can’t kill me.”
Suzy smirked at his words, shoving off the man who was pressing into her.
“What’s wrong?... Do you think killing a lot of people has made you into some sort of god now, is that it? Mr. Smile Face? No, or should I say Jo Jin Woong-ssi?”
Jin Woong’s face turned chillingly still at the mention of his name. But that was only a moment, and a cruel little smile soon hung on his lips.
“Now, you’ve failed to kill me again… Looks like the fate of that one in the basement is sealed.”
Hatred and disgust burned in her eyes as Suzy slapped his face with all her might.
“Disgusting son of a … You crazy, erted bastard!!”
Jin Woong lazily looked at the crying girl and his cheek where she had hit him. And then slammed Suzy into the wall again, whispering in her ear. “If I’m such a crazed ert, why is it that you can’t leave me?”
At this Suzy stiffened.
Every time she failed to kill Jin Woong, another person died. An immense guilt. And yet she still hadn’t left him. Suzy was neither tied up, nor locked in, but she could not leave. She couldn’t even glance at Ji Woong who walke
