[The Vendetta]

“Wow~ I haven’t been here in so long. I always just shower at home so I didn’t even dream of a bathrub.”

“I come here still every once in a while. This is the best place in the area!”

“I hope you don’t go looking for places like this everyday, huh kid?”

“O-Of course not!!”

Hyuk ignored a guilty looking Gwang Soo and looked around, amazed at the large size of the sauna. He walked into the changing room with a self-assured gait. He was only able to open his locker with the electronic key that Gwang Soo had handed to kim only after a careful observation of someone next to him.

“Everything uses an electronic key these days. Is this your first time using it?”

“Yeah. I come back after a long time to these weird looking things.”

As if fascinated, Hyuk opened the locker this way and that before he slowly started undressing. He threw off his clothes in a flourish, revealing the lean muscle underneath one by one. His veins ran thick and clear, both large and small scars covering his toned, brown body. Gwang Soo looked at his pale, too lanky body with a few scratches here and there in comparison and let out a deep sigh.

Hyuk looked at Gwang Soo and smirked, and pointed to a large surgical mark on his abdomen. “Now, take a look at this. This mark on my stomach, this is from when I was hired to stamp out those Gwang Ho-side bastards.” He then showed a long cut at his side and continued, “This cut is from when that murderer Woo Chang Hyuk held a hostage and was screwing around, and I had to rescue that hostage.”

Then he showed a ragged scar on his left forearm. “This scar right here is from when a crazy soldier abandoned camp and got a gun started screwing around.”

“This here I got when I was trying to arrest some gang and those piece of s rammed me with a car.”

“This got crushed against the concrete when I caught some suicidal guy falling off the roof.”

“And this is….”

Jang Hyuk who was listing the reasons behind his numerous scars, jabbed his scarred palm right in front of Gwang Soo’s face and smirked. “A scar of glory from when some stupid and funny as hell police officer thankfully became a hostage.”

Gwang Soo’s expression suddenly turned to the verge of tears.

“Sir….”

“This sort of scratch isn’t even on the big side of all the cuts on this body of mine, you know? So Officer Lee Gwang Soo, let’s stop worrying about this and start doing your job properly! You got that??”

“Yes, sir! I’ll follow you forever!!!”

Gwang Soo who was touched by the undoubted cool display of comfort of Hyuk’s hugged the other man in his form. It was only after he received an elbow to his side that he came to.
