This story is going to be a bit of a oneshot. ^_^ Anyway, here comes the foreword:

Jaejoong pov:

“Woahh…” The girl sitting beside me said quietly as she watched the shooting star soar across the night sky. Even I had to admit that the shooting star looked quite remarkable. I looked around the dark outdoors, and the stars above the sky looked like a wallpaper spread across the wall and ceiling. I blinked and Yoona sighed. A puff of light fog appeared in front of Yoona’s mouth as she sighed. It was cold that night and Yoona was almost mummified with layers of blankets and coats. While I didn’t mind the cold at all. A small smile crept onto my lips as I watched Yoona from the corner of my eye. She looked cute. She looked like a giant colourful egg who was watching the sky with wide open. Yoona was so different than I thought she would be. I mean, yes, she kind of did annoy me at first, but then everything seemed like it was flipped upside down.

Shoot. She caught me staring. I looked away to hide myself blushing. No one has ever seen me so embarrassed and someone especially like Yoona isn’t going to change that. I half- heartedly brushed one of my bangs away from my face to make her think that I was fixing my hair. It didn’t work.

“Jaejoong, can I ask you a question?” Yoona asked while turning her gaze towards me. I shrugged.

“Sure.” I replied, curious about what she was going to ask me.

“If a shooting star is gone, is there another star to replace it?” Yoona asked with a curious expression on her face. I don’t really know the answer for that so I’m just going to guess.

“Probably. But in a different way than the shooting star.” I answered.

“Would you get mad if I was that replacement star?” Yoona asked while staring at the log we were sitting on. My previous blank expression turned into a puzzled and perplexed one. I looked at her strangely and Yoona just kept her focus on the log. Wow. She was even more senseless than she looked. Why would she ask such a stupid question?

“No. Of course not.” I replied, obviously uninterested while kicking a small rock on the ground. Yoona’s eyes shot wide open and looked at me.  

“I didn’t mean it literally. Um… I meant that, for example, there was an astronomer who had a favourite star. But one night, that star turns into a shooting star and leaves the night sky. The next night, another star comes along, and it is shining even brighter than the shooting star. Would the astronomer make the new star his favourite?” Yoona asked. Okay, okay, okay I was lost with this question. It didn’t make sense. Why is she asking me these trivia questions anyway? Everyone knows I’m no good at math or word problems. I stared at her like she was crazy but she didn’t flinch. My eyebrow twitched.

“Wait, are you trying to trick me or something?” I asked her while edging away further towards my end of the log.

  “Is the shooting star still you- I mean… his favourite once there was a new star coming along?” Yoona asked me again but with a more serious tone this time. She caught me off guard with the word ‘his’. I knew exactly what she was talking about. Deep down(author’s note: and he means really, really deep down) I thought that Yoona was kind of… you know... um. I don’t exactly know how to put it, but I couldn’t just say yes. Especially when there was still her…
