Sooyoung and Chanyeol sit at the swing by the porch. He throws her a can of coke then sits beside her. 

"So... What's the catch?" Sooyoung asks him. Chanyeol looks at her then grins widely.

"Nothing" He replies.

"Nothing?" Sooyoung asks sarcastically. "Don't tell me you think I'm going to believe that lame excuse"

Chanyeol laughs then raises his arms in the air. "Fine. I give up"

"So are you gonna tell me or not?" Sooyoung asks, grinning.

Chanyeol turns to face her but looks down at the floor. He is grinning. "I have a deal for you..." He says, finally looking at Sooyoung.

"A deal?" She asks, confused.

"Well, I know you can tell that I like Tiffany," He says. 

Sooyoung rolls her eyes at him. "Isn't it obvious? Everyone can tell that"

"I get it, okay? Could you shut for a minute and listen to me first?" He says, giving her a cold stare.

"Fine!" She raises her arms in the air. "Continue"

Chanyeol takes a sip of his drink before continuing.

"I was wondering if we could work together t--" 

"What?! Work together? Seriously?" She cuts him off.

"Yes! I said work together, can I continue?"

"Fine. Fine... I'm not gonna interrupt you again" Sooyoung takes a sip of her coke as she listens to Chanyeol's explanation.

"I was thinking... maybe you could, I don't know, help me with Tiffany?" He says.

Sooyoung almost choke on her drink. She's surprised. That is something she least expected and Chanyeol's the last person on her mind that she thinks would be asking for her help.

It's not that I don't like him. It's just that we always have contradicting views and you won't see us agreeing on anything. Sooyoung thinks.

"...And what's in it for me?" She asks, wiping her lips.

Chanyeol laughs lowly at her reaction but stops when he sees that Sooyoung is annoyed.

"Well, if I'm right, you like one of us?" He asks, grinning.

Sooyoung's eyes widen then she puts her drink down on the wooden floor. "How did you know that?" She asks.

"Something tells me you like Kai" He replies, grinning. "So, what I'm proposing is help me with Tiffany and I'll help you with Kai"

Sooyoung bits her lips. "I'm not sure if Tiffany's going to like this..."

"I just need a chance to show her how I feel about her" 

"Stop that! Stop with the cheesy things, it's grossing me out. Besides, if I'm right, I'll be the last person you'd ask for help. So, why me?" 

"Clearly, you're her best friend and you know everything about her and you're right about the last person thing. I wouldn't ask for your help if I don't really need it badly.... And I'm sure you feel the same way about me?"

"Right! I made that clear before, didn't I?" Sooyoung continues. "Give me one good reason why I should accept your deal and be in your favor instead of my best friend?" She asks him, raising a brow at him.

"Cause we'd be working together to get something we both like" He answers immeadiately.

Sooyoung stares at him. Deliberating. She's actually measuring the pros and cons of his proposal.

The wind blows her long hair against her face. It is such a beautiful night, the stars and moon are clear in the night sky. The waves in the ocean are crashing against each other making a soothing sound.

Sooyoung is fidgeting. She stands up without a word and sighs.

"I guess I've got nothing to lose?" Sooyoung says, biting her lips.

Chanyeol stands in front of her and holds out his hand. "It's a deal then?"

Sooyoung looks at him. "...Deal! Just because I don't want you to annoy my best friend everytime, understand?"

He chuckles and raises his can. "To our out of the ordinary alliance?"

She rolls her eyes and raise her own can. "This will be interesting"
