Time Stands Still

Description

"I love you, Tae Tae."

"I love you too, Tiffany." In Taeyeon's mind, Jessica's last words seemed to echo, "Live my darling and love."

Tiffany reached in for a kiss and Taeyeon responded, lost in their own little world, with their lips intertwined, time stands still.

Foreword

Chapter 1

She walks toward the same spot where she last saw her. The tears threatened to fall from her eyes as she remembers the events that took places. She closed her eyes, trying to black out the memories taht are struggling to be let out, to be remembered. She can always try to forget but she doesn't know if she would ever succeed. "Tiffany" just saying her name makes her convulse in sobs. She sits down on a rock near the tree where they used to sit. She eventually grew tired from crying that she can barely open her eyes. The last thing she sees before she fell asleep is an etched heart on a tree with the names Taeyeon and Tiffany.

When she woke up it was already dark. Her teardrops have already dried up. She stood up and looked at the sky. "Are you watching over me Miyoung?" She smiles sadly as she remembers the small pinches that she would get when she calls Tiffany Miyoung. She shakes her head, trying to fight the memory of Tiffany's face, Tiffany's eyes and Tiffany's smiles. "Maybe someday I will get over you." Her words are barely heard as the wind carries her voice until it faded. "But first I have to know what really happened that night, what really happened to you." She started walking home.

Suddenly she finds herself standing outside her house. She looked at the house lovingly, remembering the times when she and Tiffany would try to paint the porch but would end up messing up everything. Their footprints are still embedded near the sidewalk when they "accidentally" stepped on it when it was being asphalted. "This house used to be a home." She walked slowly towards the door and she sees a pink spot deliberately put there by Tiffany. "Everywhere I look, you have left a mark for me to remember you by." She opens the door and turns on the light and she makes her way to the sofa. This has been her routine for 6 months now. She would always visit the place where they last spent time together to make up for the emptiness in her heart but then she would go home feeling emptier than ever. Still she continues on with the everyday routine. She looks up at the ceiling, seeing nothing until she closes her eyes to fall into another troubled slumber.
