Angel. All Kai could think when he saw Oh Sehun was, he was an angel. Seeing Sehun dressed in white, with his blonde hair, bangs were falling just above his eyebrows and pair of grey eyes though glinting with sadness, he looked ethereal. Never in life Kai had thought he would fall for him, again. Not when he knew Sehun was sightless. Being cruel never got him a good sleep. Every second of his life was filled with guilts and a level of culpability was too high he could not be forgiven. The thought of his blameworthy-self had given him nothing but nightmare.

To think Sehun was happy with a new life was ridiculous because the look in Sehun’s eyes explained it all. There were discouragement and regret in his eyes. The darkness had outshined his world and Kai could imagine how fragile Sehun was to be sitting alone without any source of light. The total ebony which had been living in Sehun’s every day and night was giving a tug at Kai’s heart.

He was the devil and he still is.

To know Sehun had been living his life visionless was more than just killing him. It sent him down to the pit of hell because Kai was sinful to leave the younger when he needed him the most. The sight of Sehun struggling to stand up, the image of Sehun stumbled upon hard rocks, falling without no one to catch him, and the image of Sehun at lost in his own pitch-black world. The surge of pain was running through in his body cells, biting at every inch of his body, leaving none other than just a plain torture. Now he was at it again at the scene of Sehun stepping down the stairs with none other than his husband, Wu Yifan by his side. Practically the outcome was nowhere near what he had been thinking.

Kai absolutely had no idea how he concluded things would be just fine with Sehun alone, and blind. Together they sealed their promises but Kai broke it with being the one who left. Now that he doubted himself, to what reason should he make up for Sehun to forgive him? Certainly, an apology was just not enough when everything could not be put back in place.

The purpose of living for Sehun, was to make Yifan happy though he was uncertain but for Yifan, everything was possible and Sehun, he knew if it was not for Yifan, he must’ve been lying in the cemetery with the scent of white roses overwhelming him. Medicines and remedies might not be able to cure his broken heart but Yifan could be the healer. All this while he had been living with Yifan’s words of encouragement and he was not supposed to give up. Not when Kim Jongin was around, watching the sightless him. This time he knew Jongin should not see his vulnerable side and he needed to be strong for Yifan.

“It’s not his specialty to be the striker but maybe he just wanted to give it a try, Minseok’s dying to get into the competition and no one can stop him, not even me.” Luhan sighed as he muttered, poking the banana on his plate with the fork. Unamused. The breakfast came out bland to think about his fiancé who was dying to be a soccer player. He did not want that to happen but stopping someone’s dream just sounded so wrong and he did not want to oppose to that.

“You need to be supportive. Everyone aims to achie
