Light
LightThe dust fluttered all around them
One reaches out to touch the sunlight beam. As he holds the others hand, he gives him a curious look asking if he could feel it too
He smiles softly as to give him the answer
The other grins back excitedly and turns to look at the light again
As they stare into the light, their hearts connect for a moment
Gazing into the golden light he can feel the others heartbeat faintly in his
The other asks, “Can you feel my endless love for you?”
He breaks his gaze from the amber glow that had dissolved into the air and looks at the other
The boy’s eyes search his looking for an answer
He gently smiles at him and returns his gaze to the now luminescent night sky and squeezes his hand tighter in his own
The other’s heart races
He chuckles lightly as if he knew the others feelings at the moment. He drags the other’s hand into the open field under the night sky
He says to take it easy to the boy
The boy laughs and walks up the hill with a little skip in his step
He does the same, his heart pounding
The boy yells for him to hurry as he plops down onto the cool grass
He waddles up and skips after him. He slides right next to the other
He holds the other’s hand once again, tighter
The boy looks at him,
His face seems to be glowing
They both look at the sky, only the moon is out
The wind blows strong for a brief moment and he shivers
The boy sees this and leans onto him, he feels colder. “I’m sorry” the boy whispers
He shakes his head trying to smile, “don’t be” he says quietly. He wraps his arm around the boy and hums along with him
They’re both looking at the sky
The strong wind blows again, softer this time
The boy’s breath catches with the wind
The first star appears, the glittering light fluttered all round them.
He reaches out to touch the moonlight beam, he holds the boy closer as he feels he pureness of the light.
He feels his heartbeat is stronger
“Yes” He says out loud, “I’m sorry.”
