YG walked into the practise room where the 2ne1 girls were practising, preparing as always for their next album. He ran a tight ship in YG and everybody was always on their toes not sure what the next day may bring. If you werent ready, another would take your place, it was as simple as that and it brought out great results from his artists.

Noticing his presence, the girls stopped what they were doing to bow. They were such a respectful bunch, he took pride in that. He had taken a gamble with them, not entirely sure how the public would receive them but they had exceeded his expectations and even though they had received worldwide acclaim, they remained humble, hardworking, dedicated girls. His chest filled with pride everytime he laid eyes on them.

Indicating that he wanted their attention, he motioned to them to stop what they were doing and come to him. Looking at each other they complied.

"I know you girls are under the impression that 2ne1 will be releasing an album very soon but that is not gonna happen." He watched them digest that information, their faces showing a variety of reactions, confusion, disappointment, sadness and even anger. Smiling slyly he continued. "I have decided to do things differently. I will instead debut a solo amongst you, who will have a full promotional circle before the 2ne1 album gets released. That solo will essentially usher in the album."

At the mention of debut, Bom knew she would not be the one to release a solo this time, she had already released two solo singles therefore she could not be debuting as a solo. She didnt know if she should be happy or upset about it. She didnt want to be greedy but she relished and took pride in the success of her solo singles, they gave her strength and re-enforced the belief in her that all the years and sacrifices she had made were not for nothing.

"I have not yet chosen who will debut yet as this solo and i have decided that you will compete for the oppurtunity." He said watching them closely as he delivered the news. They were so adorable these girls of his, such an open book. "Bom and Dara will not partake in this competition." He continued confirming what Bom had already suspected. "Bommie has had enough shots at this, i want someone else to give it a go and Dara, i'm currently reviewing some dramas for you and i want you to be free should i decide to accept one."

Dara bowed gratefully not really sure how she was feeling, on the one hand she was thrilled at the oppurtunity to act again, on the other she wanted that oppurtunity to be the one to usher in the new album, it would be a great way to show the world that she was more than a pretty face. It could be an acoustic album, something soft to match her voice and even though she was terrified of failing she was still willing to try. For in the end, if you dont try, you have no right to complain. But
