The Hut in the Woods
Description
They say if you walk through the woods alone
A new path will open up to you;
Should your heart be made of gold
You'll see ahead the winding road
But beware, young one, for what lies ahead
Is just to be seen, and not to be heard.
Foreword
Luhan remembers the path that opened up to him when he was younger; that winding path of dead leaves and silence, surrounded by what little sunlight was filtered through the thick canopies of the tall green giants above. He'd heard many tales of the hut in the woods, one that only a pure heart could see - boy, the tales of a wicked witch waiting for innocent children to show up so she could devour their hearts; of the carnivorous beast who dined on your flesh and bones - terrifying, gruesome tales that ended up in death.
He doesn't believe in any of that malarkey though, because he knows the hut is empty, except for a cloaked figure - the same cloaked figure who had helped him to get home ten years ago, and Luhan is determined to find him once more.
