It's been years since that day. Four, actually. Four and six months if I need to be exact. Four years, six months, and two days since you left me here to be with your parents up there. You were only 18, why did you have to go? Why did you leave me here alone?

I tried to keep my promise. I tried to protect your little sister but they wouldn't tell me where she was sent. She will be 20 this year, you would have been 22. I still celebrate your birthday, but I guess you know that because here I am with your favorite cake, talking to the wind. 

I'm trying to forgive you but it's so hard. It's even harder to forgive myself. Couldn't you come back? Or should I meet you up there? It's impossible isn't it? You're gone and I still have responsibilities down here. You are probably happy up there, aren't you? No more pain, no more troubles. I envy you. It should have been me.
