The phrase keeps playing on loop in Tao's head as he buries himself into Xiumin gege's shoulder.

Tears welled in Tao's eyes, and he quickly presses his face against Xiumin's neck instead so he doesn't dampen his t-shirt.
No one but Xiumin gege has to know.

"Hi! My name's Baekhyun, and this is my twin brother Chanyeol."
Tao hears an enthusiastic voice say and his brothers' amazed voices.
Giving in to curiosity, he peeks across his shoulder to see a pair of grinning teenagers.
They look nothing like each other.
One's short and the other isn't.
One has jet black hair and the other hasn't.
One looks like a puppy and the other doesn't.
One is holding a toddler and the other isn't.

"We're non identical. Baek's older by four minutes." The tall lanky teenager with burgundy hair says, baritone voice echoing in Tao's ears.
I don't like.
Tao, intimidated by Chanyeol, squirms further up Xiumin's arms for safety.
Don't come here.
As if his secret wish is answered, Chanyeol plants himself firmly in place while he lets Chen examine him from head to toe.
Instead, Baekhyun steps forward and coos at him.

"Hello there little one. What's your name?"
Tao stares cautiously, hiding half his face into his shoulder.
He looks... not scary.
Tao decides, then unhides his face.

"Tao." Tao answers softly, arms still holding tightly onto Xiumin's shoulder.
He glances at a dark skinned boy shooing Luhan away from an owl eyed boy, and Lay gege staring at the little Tarzan.
They're scary too.
Tao watches Lay gege pull Lulu gege back after the small angry gege shoots them threatening glares and the owl gege stares them down.

"Hello Tao! You're the maknae aren't you? Sehun here is our maknae. Say hi, Sehunie." Baekhyun lifts Sehun up so he's right next to Tao.
Tao looks at the brunette child.
He is staring back with what Tao thinks is either an unamused look, or just his natural facial expression.
Either way, Tao only has one thought.

Tao clings onto Xiumin again and hides away in his safe haven.

"Sorry about that, Tao is homeschooled and he's not used to people other than our family. I'm Xiumin, by the way." Xiumin explains calmly while Tao's back.

"Homeschooled? How old is he?"

"Oh, he turned three a couple of months ago."

"Really? Sehunie turned two not long ago too."
Tao froze.
Two.
That boy, Sehun, is two.
Meaning Tao is no longer the maknae.

"Aigoo, Sehunie is so cute!" Xiumin laughs.
N-No... Gege...
G-Gege thinks he's cute...
I'm not the m-maknae anymore...
I'm not cute anymore...

"WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!" Tao unleashes the tears that he's been holding back, and he wails loudly.

"Tao!?" Xiumin widens his eyes and yelps, looking terrified.
Tao struggles from Xiumin's hold and jumps to the ground, then waddles runs towards Kris.
A-At least I'm still Daddy's baby.
