"...I was hoping..."

A Baking Spell.

“Hoseok is this really necessary..” Kate said as Hoseok led her by the shoulders, blindfolded no less.

Hoseok giggled but said nothing.

Kate sighed but let herself be tromped around.

Finally Hoseok stopped walking and held her hand.
“Take the blindfold off now, Katie.”

Her lips curled in to a small smile as she heard the nick name.
“No one calls me that.” she said as she pulled off the cloth around her eyes.
Hoseok held her close and whispered in her ear. “I do.”

He had led her to a restaurant, but no one else was there but them and a waiter at the front desk waiting for them to come forward.

Behind him was a single table, covered in flowers and candles.

“I couldn’t decide on one kind of flower or one candle scent so I might have gotten them all.” Hoseok admitted sheepishly.

The flower arrangements and candles spread to other tables, and the doors to the patio were open, so the patterns of light sprung on the walls.

“Hoseok what is all this?” Kate asked with a slight tremor in her voice.
Hoseok smiled and followed the waiter to their table.
“Nothing much. I just wanted to treat you out to dinner.”

“Nothing much?!” she choked out. No one had ever gone to even near such lengths for her before, and he called it nothing much?

Sitting down she cleared .

“You know, I would have loved to just have dinner at home, so long as it was with you, and made by you” she said cheekily.

Hoseok waved his hand. “Next time, next time I promise.”
"Next time?" Kate thought.

They ordered and the waiter left them alone again.

Hoseok reached across the table and took her small hand in his.

“Katie?”

She pried her slightly teary eyes from the flowers and met his eyes.

“Y-yes?”

Hoseok’s tongue seemed to wrestle with itself for a moment.

“I know it’s kind of late to ask, but I was wondering…”

Kate leaned forward.

“..I was hoping..”

Hoseok leaned forward.

“…I would love if you…”

She kissed him lightly on the top of his nose.

“…If you would be my girlfriend?”

She smiled.

“I wouldn’t want to be anything else, Hoseok.”

And this time, he kissed her.

He watched her smiling at the flickering lights as they wait for their food.
"All I want to do is anything she ever wants me to. I will cook for her, clean for her, she is my reason."

He smiled.

"She's the missing ingredient in the recipe of my life."
