A soft white glow emanates from two pale hands as it barely lights up the dark room, casting an eerie glow on those present. Outside, a soft shower of rain flows from the murky skies, offering a comforting melody in the background. The mood isn’t any different from any of the other days Yixing has been present, solely concentrating on the soothing beats of the two he now controls in the palms of his hands along with the beats of his own heart.   Jongin’s never used to this, constantly looking out the small hospital room window on the door before he hides again when a nurse walks by checking charts. He looks to the doctor standing off to the side with arms crossed in front of his chest, watching the process as a tint of deep royal blue show in his eyes as he commands the rain outside. “Junmyeon,” he whispers hastily, wondering how he got caught up in all of this. But he knows he wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world.   “Yixing is almost done, Jongin,” the other softly responds back, watching as his assistant’s hands glow minutely brighter before slowly fading away, “You know where to go.”   Jongin breathes out a sigh of relief, walking away from the door to go to the wanted criminal on the second bed. He looks to the child curiously, eyes tinting blacker than normal as he places a palm on top of the criminal’s chest, above his still heart. “Will she be okay now?” He asks it out of habit now.   Looking down to the child still deep in sleep, Yixing smiles softly, reaching forward to tuck a strand of hair behind her ear. “She will be okay, Jongin.” He looks back to his friend. “Thank you again.”   The other nods, looking back to Junmyeon who’s still as patient and quiet since they were in college. “Junmyeon.”   The doctor shakes out of his thoughts, shifting his gaze away from the child to Jongin who’s staring at him inquisitively. He smiles, relaxing a bit more, “Thank you, Jongin.” He looks out the window as he continues the rain, watching as lightning strikes and wind pushes the droplets off course before allowing it to go back to normal. “Sehun and Jongdae are waiting for you.” He smiles softly again. “Give my regards to Kyungsoo when you go back home.”   Jongin nods, smiling before disappearing with the man in a crackle and poof of smoke, “Until next time.”   Junmyeon watches as he disappears before turning his focus to Yixing who is still watching over the little girl. He sighs tiredly, trying to keep up the rain until morning like usual, as he reaches forward to gently tug on the other’s arm. “Yixing.”   “I’m scared I’m going to get caught by the government one day, Junmyeon,” the younger confesses, leaning into the strong embrace the elder gives him, “Jongin’s already been caught once.”   “They’re not going to get you,” the other softly says, grabbing onto the younger’s calloused hands, “I promise they won’t.” He gently kisses the other’s temple, pulling him away to finally go home for the night. “Come on, Xing. Let’s go home.”   Yixing simply nods, letting the other guide him out.   xxx   Their house isn’t as extravagant as other houses owned by doctors, it’s actually a condo, but Yixing finds just as much comfort in it than his past apartment. He eyes their living room, seeing Jongin was there with Sehun and Jongdae a few minutes prior, if the three tree leaves are anything to go by. One is crisped by lightning, another is half-ripped by wind, and the other is perfect. They finished their end of the deal.   “I’ll stay up a bit longer,” Junmyeon softly says, making his way into the kitchen to make another cup of coffee, “Then I’ll stop the rain and come to bed. You should go sleep.”   Yixing doesn’t fight him, knowing since they started this two years ago that he won’t listen to him no matter how many times he tries. He guesses it’s the years of medical school that allow him to stay up with minimal hours of sleep. He reaches the bedroom with a frown on his face.   There were manila files littered all across their bedroom floor. Profiles of criminals ranging from the most mundane to the most insane, courtesy of Yifan, Luhan, and Kyungsoo down in the police department. He wonders how they all started this too, but they were still all in it together. That made it worth it.   A neater stack full of medical files lay on the desk against one wall of the room. He sighs. He might as well look over other patients if Junmyeon is going to stay awake too.   Yixing considers themselves criminals. Junmyeon considers themselves heroes.   But heroes don’t take lives away.   Sitting at the desk and flipping over the first file, Yixing smiles at seeing a little boy smiling back up at him. He wants to take care of his own child too in the future, but he can’t if he’s saving other lives and running for his own.   Right when Junmyeon graduated medical school, he insisted Yixing work under him as his physician’s assistant. It worked perfectly since Yixing had an amazing ability of healing anybody and anything. He suggested to their group of friends to stay within some obscure area. They could heal those terminally ill with lives of criminals they could find with their connection to the police department.   Yifan, Luhan, and Kyungsoo are officers and detectives. Kyungsoo does both while Yifan sticks to being a cop and Luhan a detective. Their powers prove useful because the youngest could always intimidate others with his surprising strength, the eldest could always tap into the suspect’s mind to find out the truth, and Yifan could quickly move from place to place. Each of them could easily worm their way into the database system with their charms, which made it easier for Junmyeon to conduct this whole business.   Jongin, Sehun, and Jongdae are in charge of clean up. The latter two help find new places where they can hide the body of the criminals. The former teleports anybody in and out, bringing them wherever they are needed. He was already caught by the government once, an official seeing him in passing before a hunt was sent for him. Kinds like him proved useful in wars. However, he easily escaped before they could test anything on him. Now, he simply stays hidden in the apartment he shares with Kyungsoo who tries to keep him off the radar.   Minseok, Baekhyun, and Chanyeol are in charge of catching the criminals. They were efficient if not loud all the time. They always receive word from Luhan in their minds, specifying their locations before Chanyeol maps out the whole situation and area, creating a plan with Minseok on how to easily get them. Baekhyun simply lures them in, using any means possible.   A heavy sigh fills the room as Yixing closes his eyes and rubs his temples. He loves saving innocent people’s lives, but it’s taking a toll on his body too. Junmyeon knows it as well, but he’s considered one of the best doctors in the country because of his ability. He starts when he feels arms wrap around his shoulders from behind.   “I thought you were already getting ready for bed.”   “The rain stopped,” Yixing responds softly, looking out the window to see clear, dark skies.   Junmyeon chuckles, and Yixing’s reminded of why he fell in love with the other all over again, “Let’s get ready for bed. I’ll give you a massage in the shower.”   The younger smiles, letting the elder pull him up to his feet before he’s greeted with a kiss on the lips. “Fine,” Yixing breathes as they part, happiness and love still pouring out from their eyes as they stare at each other, “But we have to sleep soon for our shifts in the morning. No funny business.” He rolls his eyes when Junmyeon laughs, a mischievous twinkle present in his eyes.   “Of course, Xing.”   xxx   Yixing and Junmyeon end up an hour late for their shift, the nurses giggling and laughing because they know they are together even though they both vehemently deny it. The former blushes, adjusting the stethoscope around his neck, as the latter calmly reaches out for the files of his patients on the floor. “Any progress from last night?” he professionally asks, Yixing staying quiet by his side.   “The little girl, Chohee,” a nurse starts off, a bright smile on her face, “She’s improving so much since yesterday!”   “It looks like she’s on the way to recovery thanks to you two once again,” another nurse agrees before walking away to check on her own patients, “We’re so glad to have you two here.”   The other two smile, looking to each other happily before making their way straight to Chohee’s room. They’re surprised to see Jongin in there, sitting on the edge of the bed and talking to the little girl. “Jongin?” Yixing questions confused, walking up to them first.   “Xingie!” the little girl exclaims, holding her arms out for a hug.   Yixing laughs, walking over and bending down to give her a tight hug. “How’s my favorite little patient doing?”   Chohee smiles brightly at him, “A whole lot better!” She looks to Jongin then. “Especially since I became friends with Jonginnie too!”   The three males laugh, feeling lighthearted at the girl’s comments. They talk comfortably for a few minutes, Junmyeon even joining in before Jongin interrupts him, excusing himself. “I’m sorry, Chohee. Jonginnie will be right back, okay?”   Looking up at him with wide, innocent eyes, she just smiles, “As long as Xingie stays with me!”   Yixing laughs, reaching out to ruffle her hair. Junmyeon pouts teasingly, “That hurts, Chohee.”   “But I like Dr. Kim too!” she suddenly shouts out, causing the others to laugh again.   “We’ll be right back,” Jongin mentions again, getting up from his spot on the bed before walking over to Junmyeon, “Dr. Kim. Can I have a word?”   The eldest looks at him a bit worriedly before turning to give the patient a smile. “I’ll come check up on you again later, okay?” He receives a happy nod before he leads the younger out, taking a turn away from the nurses’ station.   “Somewhere private,” Jongin whispers as he cautiously eyes the cameras around them before keeping his head down, hat still on his head.   Junmyeon nods, leading them to the bathroom. He looks around before checking the stalls to make sure nobody was in there. Once he secures the area, he turns to the other, a concerned look on his face. “What’s wrong, Jongin?”   “It’s Zitao,” the younger whispers, still not trusting the area they’re in, “He almost got caught because they thought he was me.”   “What did he do?”   “He slowly froze time so he and Luhan cou
