The Last Meeting

Description

Luhan has just arrived at his hometown. He has 2 weeks free before he has to go back to Korea. This is the only chance he got. Since his management never allowerd him to get too close to any girls. Maybe a simple hi won’t break the rules.

He still remember the street and even the big tree near the intersections. He turns right and decides to walk slowly as he replaying the memories. Just one more road until he arrives. And then there it is. A casual house that he put so much hopes on it.

He hopes he can see her for one more time. He hopes she is getting a better treatement from her own family. He hopes she still the same. He hopes everything is fine. He hopes.

He’s hiding behind a electric pole and he put his hoodie and sun-glasses right so no one will notice him as the famous Luhan. He keep watching for minutes. The sun is shining and there’s just one or two people passing by, seeing at him coriously.

Suddenly, a scream comes out from the house. It’s a girl’s voice.

“You should be thankful of me because I allow you to sleep under my roof!” a man shouts.

“But I did everything you told me! I’ve done nothing wrong and why do you keep blaming it all on me?!” tears start running down on the girl’s face.

"What?! Are you trying to against me now?” the man’s hand is already in the air, ready to slap her hard.

Luhan jumps out from his hiding and also at the moment, the girl is crying even more. The man put down his hand and walk in to the house, leaving her carelessly. “You’re so useless.” the man say in whisper.

Luhan walks slowly and get confused of what he should do. The girl in front of him looks so fragile.

“Hey, Fei.” he says carefully.

The girl’s head up and face the source of the voice. “W-who are you?”

Cracks. It’s a little bit hurt knowing she doesn’t remember him like he remember her.

“It’s me.”

“Lu? Luhan?” she looks a little scared yet surprised.

“You remember me! Whoa it has been a long time and I miss you so much!” Luhan is freaking out.

Fei’s lips turn into a smile. “I miss you too.”

They end up sitting on a bench and holding a tea cup in their hands, talking as watching the sun dissapearing.

“How are you?” Luhan asks as the beginning.

“As you see, my life is not getting any better. How about you? I’m sure that you’re having a perfect life right now.”

“Ah, I’m not sure about it. I mean, your life won’t be perfect if there’s a whole in your heart right? Even it just a tiny whole.”

“What do you mean?”

“Fei...would you like to come with me to Korea?”

Fei says no words as she too speechless to say anything. Her heart is just saying yes without any moment and then her brain hold her tongue. Should she say the truth or she can run away from the reality?

“I’m getting married next year.” Fei’s voice is shaking as she tries to hold the tears.

“You...what?” Luhan’s heart is totally break into pieces.

“Zhang purpose me last month. I can’t say no because you have to understand that I don’t want to live at hell anymore. And you have to know I will try my best to be his wife and love him and I will...” her voice brust into tears.

The pain is just getting bigger whenever she talks about it. She has been lying to her own feeling this whole month and she has to do it for the rest of her life.

The shock hasn’t fully gone but he realizes Fei is crying and she looks like she need help. Actually, she deserves a better life than this.

Luhan wraps his arms around her and he surrounded by his own doubt because Fei is engaged with Zhang right now. He shouldn’t touch her this way. But all he wants to do right now is giving Fei a warmth and a safe place.

Still crying on his chest, Fei knows the pain is decreasing. Because she misses Luhan as much as she need food to survive. She holds the feeling for months. Knowing the chance of meeting him is almost impossible.

But this afternoon, it looks like God has made her dream come true as she see Luhan standing right in front of her. Almost too impossible to happen. Then back to reality she doesn’t want to fall too deep until she can’t get back. She walk out from Luhan’s arms and try to be stronger as she should be.

“I have to go now. Thank you.” she wants to add several words but she can’t let her tears fall over again.

“Fei...” Luhan calls out before Fei is getting any far. “I know maybe, it’s too late but, I love you. And please be safe. Because if you think that I’m fine with my perfect life. It’s a whole lie.”

Fei starts to walk away again as she wipes away her tears that keep falling down no matter how hard she try to stop.

And maybe everything is just too late.
