+ Bonus - Welcome in Korea

The Cherry Blossom Season

"Bae, are you for real? Your mother wants to see me?"

"Yes, she wants to meet you in person. Even though I have told you a lot about you already, she thinks that seeing you with her own eyes is something different after all."

"I don't know. I am scared, Bae. What if she will hate me? What if she seperates us?"

"Nothing can tear us apart, Ji. I promise you that. Besides, she seems to be genuinely interested in getting to know you."

"R-really?"

"I am serious. You and your mum should come over!"

"Okay."

Youngbae knew it was a good idea to invite Jiyong and Mrs. Kwon to Korea. His heart trembled from excitement when he thought about all the things he wanted to with his brunette, all the places he wanted to show him and all the delicious, Korean food he wanted him to taste, especially his mum's cooking that he had missed so much during his years in Paris. He had gotten sick of baguettes of croissants anyway, no matter how tasty they were. It just felt different to be at home, didn't it?

The educator tapped his food to the rhythm of a new song he couldn't get out of his head, patiently waiting for the arrival of his lover. No actually, that was a lie. He couldn't be patient! He wanted to have Jiyong in his arms again, as soon as possible. These twelve days he had spent without him were the longest time they had ever been apart and honestly, it was proof enough for Youngbae that he had made the right decision with dedicating himself to Jiyong. A life without him had become unimaginable for him. He was glad that his family had finally understood that, too.

Youngbae was pretty sure that his mother and his sister would still prefer a nice young woman on his side rather than a shy and petite man his age who needed as much attention and care as a child. However, it seemed like the educator, with his honest nature, had managed to express his feelings so well that they couldn't help but pity him for his dilemma and the inner war he had had with himself, not to forget the problems that had occured thanks to Madleine. He had made it clear that what she had told the Dongs had been exaggerated and not 100% true but at the same time, he had protected her, saying that she had had her personal reasons for acting like that. Upon hearing that, Hyerin had cried a river. After all, her beloved baby brother hadn't changed at all. He had only fallen in love and she couldn't believe they had judged him for something like that. Her mother's reaction was similiar to her daughters. As an older woman, it was more difficult for her to accept a guy on her son's side but hearing how her beloved child had worked so hard only to suffer like that pained her. It pained her even more to know that they had only added to his stress by disowning him so suddenly. They should have talked to Youngbae first before believing a drunk young lady who obviously wasn't on her right mind. It took the educator a long time to reassure her and Hyerin that he was alright now and that they didn't need to feel guilty because he had never been mad at them in the first place. In fact, he accepted that he had some sort of guilt because he hadn't contacted his family regulary and had made them worry about him. He took the blame. And he made a mental note to look properly after his favourite two ladies from now on, even if he would be far away. Since his father had passed away when he was little. he was the only male in their house and it was time for him to fill in the space his dad had left. From now on, he would contact them a lot and send more money to them than he already did. And now that Jiyong was more than his protégé, he would even be able to visit them more often, that means, if they accepted him. For now, they knew as much about Jiyong as Youngbae had told him - and that was quite a lot. He had answered all their  questions about his disorder, his behaviour and their daily life in France. When Hyerin asked if she could see a picture, the educator pulled out his cellphone and simply showed her his lockscreen: It was the picture he had taken of Jiyong when they had visited the Eiffel Tower. "He looks so innocent.", his noona had commented. And his mother? She had only glanced at the screen and had nodded, slightly smiling to herself as if she knew something that nobody else did. A minute later, she had suggested a meeting with the Kwons.

Still waiting for his love, Youngbae couldn't help but wonder how his family will react when they would see Jiyong  - and vice versa. Since the brunette wasn't used to new people, it could become awkward at first, like back then, when Jiyong had met Madleine for the first time. But then again, the circumstances had been different and well, the French girl was naturally bubbly - maybe a bit too bubbly for his boyfriend to handle. In contrast, his mother and his sister were reserved and quiet people. This could make things easier. Furthermore, all the stuff they had went through the last month had somehow changed Jiyong's way of thinking. Even Dr. Garnier, to whom he had spoken on the phone once, had confirmed that. Their time apart was a torture for the both of them, yet it was good for the brunette as he learned to trust Youngbae more and do some things without him - like going to his therapy sessions for example. The fact that he had let his educator go to Korea had already been a surprise, even though persuading him hadn't been that easy either. Youngbae smiled at that thought. He became better and better each day, he became a tiny bit more mature and that was wonderful. But then, he was still Jiyong after all, a sometimes whiny, picky, playful, shy and affectionate young man whose boyfriend loved him to death.

It was then when the gates finally opened, revealing the passengers who had come from Paris to Seoul. Since the flight had been long, everyone passing through looked extremely tired. Only one certain boy in a grey denim jumper stood out. He tightened his grip on the leashes of his backpack and looked around excitedly, as if looking for something - or someone. His shiny brown and fluffy hair swang from one rosy cheek to the other until he finally looked straight ahead and spotted his target. The change in his facial expression was absolutely priceless in the educator's eyes.

"Bae! Bae! Bae!"

Youngbae removed his sunglasses and smiled when he saw his lover running towards him without caring about the few exhausted passengers who probably wondered how he can be so hyper after such a long flight. Warm and spread arms were now ready to accomodate the brunette and hold him tightly. Oh man, it had been long,

"Bae!"

Jiyong crashed into the older man's chests so hard that the latter almost stumbled backwards. Youngbae heard his boyfriends breathing and felt his beating heart against his own. Smelling his familiar scent was enough for him to completely engulf him in a warm hug. The educator was happy and chuckled at how eagerly Jiyong pressed himself against him.

"Did you miss me that much?", he asked teasingly.  Jiyong's response came quick though. He pulled himself away in order to look the older man in the eyes for a brief second before he pressed his lips firmly against Youngbae's, absolutely not caring that they were in public because hell, he had missed this and he wouldn't be able to wait until they were alone anyway. Besides, kissing was nothing bad, right?  Kissing meant love and how can love be bad?

Youngbae on the other hand was caught totally off-guard, to the point that his eyes remained wide opened during this unexpected kiss. He blinked a few times and already saw Mrs. Kwon coming towards them, laughing and pushing their luggage forward. It was after a felt eternity that Jiyong eventually pulled away with a loud smooch sound and scanned his educator's face with smiling eyes and flushed cheeks, amused by the shocked expression Youngbae had. When the latter saw how his lover and his mother giggled, he quickly came back to his senses and gave the man in front of him a shy smile before pulling him against his chest again, greeting Mrs. Kwon over her son's shoulder.

"Welcome in Korea.", he said softly.

"We are finally at home."

"Youngbae, are you sure it is alright for us to meet your family tomorrow?"

"Of course, auntie. You and Jiyong should rest in your hotel today and we can arrange something for tomorrow. There really is no rush.", Youngbae said reassuringly, swinging a suitcase in one hand, and his and Jiyong's interwined ones in the other as they were walking out of the airport and towards the parking lot where his rented car was parked.

"Ah, right we wouldn't want to meet them while looking like this anyway. My face looks so tired, omo!", Mrs. Kwon exclaimed while taking a look at her reflection on the car's window. It made the educator chuckle. "Jiyong almost didn't sleep at all! No matter how often I told him to close his eyes a bit, his naps never lasted longer than thirty minutes. I guess my baby was way too excited!"

Youngbae opened the door for Mrs. Kwon while glancing at Jiyong who was still clinging on his arm. "Is that true? Were you anxious?"  The younger boy looked up at him and bit his lip before nodding his head.

"Not only that.", Mrs. Kwon added, "The first days after you were gone were the worst. He kept asking me if you would really come back. One night, he even woke me and his dad up, his face full of tears. We were so shocked and when I asked him what's wrong he kept saying 'I miss Bae, I miss Bae' over and over again. I took him to Dr. Garnier the next day and thank God, everything became better after that. My poor baby! Hasn't he become very mature now?"

Youngbae pulled Jiyong into a side hug and rubbed his shoulder in order to comfort him, sighing. "I shouldn't have left right away, I shold have stayed with him for at least a week before coming to Korea. I am sorry, Ji.", he said guiltily. He wanted to kiss him somewhere but Mrs. Kwon's presence was kind of preventing him from doing so  because he was still wasn't used to showing his affection for her son in front of her.

"Don't say sorry. I am happy now.", Jiyong said smiling. "The next time you go away and don't come back, I wll just follow you like this. You can't run away from me, Bae.", he added proudly.

The educator laughed. "As if I would ever want to run away from you. I will never leave you after this."

"Never?"

"Never."

"I am sorry for disturbing your conversation, my sweeties, but can you two please continue after we arrive at the hotel?" , Mrs. Kwon interrupted, secretely raving over what an unusual and yet lovely couple they were.

"Ready?"

"I don't know. I am scared, Bae. What if they don't like me?"

Youngbae smiled and squeezed his lover's hand. "They will like you. I am sure they will."

"Yah boys, how is my outfit? Do you think this is too much? Aigoo, I tried to dress simple today but I ended up looking like a clown!", Mrs. Kwon whined, fixing her hair as often as she could. "Youngbae-ah, what do you think?"

"Don't worry, you look pretty as always, auntie. Aren't you Jiyong's mother after all?", the educator teased, his wink making the brunette blush and hide his face in Youngbae's upper arm.

"Yah! Why do I have this feeling that you used this opportunity to flirt with my son again?", Mrs. Kwon asked suspiciously, though she didn't really mean to sound serious in that moment. "You sneaky charmer.", she added, smiling and putting her hands on her hips.

"Auntie, please!", the educator exclaimed, acting like a poor puppy. "How can you assume such things? You really look pretty, I am not lying.", he reassured her honestly.

"Alright, alright.", the the sympathic woman said, her tone changing in the next moment because she felt that it was time to get serious. "Shouldn't we knock?"

"I guess ...", Youngbae answered. He took a glance at Jiyong who was still glued to his arm, eyes directed to the wooden door leading to the Dong's modest but comfy flat. From the way he was chewing his lip, one could tell that he was really nervous. Upon seeing that, Youngbae gently pulled himself away from him and gripped his shoulders in order to face him.

"Ji, don't be nervous. It won't be bad, believe me. They really wanted to meet you and in case you feel uncomfortable, we will leave immediately, okay?"

"B-but how must I act? What do I have to do Bae? What do I have to say, I -"

Youngbae smiled, ignoring his shyness in front of Mrs. Kwon and pecking Jiyong's temple. "Just be yourself. Just be like you always are. Be my Jiyongie."

The brunette stared at his lover's face. Youngbae's smile had something magical. Somehow, it managed to make a person feel relieved and released from any kind of burden. It was almost as if the warmth that his smile radiated melted insecurities away within seconds and that was why Jiyong had the biggest crush on Youngbae since the first time he had seen his smile.

The younger man bit his lip hard for the last time before he eventually nodded. "O-okay." His answer earned him another peck from Youngbae, this time on his cheek. The latter now could knock on the door.

Knock. Knock.

And soon, the trio was able to hear soft and hesitating footsteps approaching them. And then, the door was finally opened.

"Mother, please meet -"

"H-Hello, Mrs. Dong. I-I am Kwon Jiyong. It's nice to meet you."

Youngbae watched how Jiyong bowed ninety degrees and wondered if he had practised or if he had really overcome his fear of strangers on his behalf. It could be either way, however, the educator was really proud of his lover in that moment.

"And I am Kwon Sarang, Jiyong's mother. It's a pleasure to finally meet you.", Mrs. Kwon said smiling and bowing.

Mrs. Dong looked at the two strangers in front her, first meeting the insecure eyes of the boy her son had chosen for himself. She found his light brown eyes to be especially beautiful and special. Eyes like these she had never seen before.

"Dong Gayun, it is nice to meet you, too. Please come in."

"So, what do you think? Is the tteokbokki tasty?"

"It's yummy!", Jiyong exclaimed, shoving another portion in his mouth. "Buth Ah I liak uat ur moder cookh moar."

"Love, you aren't supposed to talk when your mouth is full.", Youngbae said, grabbing a tissue in order to wipe the brunette's mouth.

"I said: I like what your mother cooked more."

"Well you have a point. My mum is a really good cook. I missed her food.", Youngbae said, smiling.

"Don't worry, Bae. I told her to teach me how she makes her food tasty. I will cook it for you when we are back in Paris so you won't miss it too much."

Youngbae chuckled. "You want to make bulgogi for me?"

"Yes, I do! What's wrong with that?", the brunette pouted. "You don't trust me that I can make it, right?" He crossed his arms in front of his chest and started sulking even more.

"I didn't say that, come on Ji. Don't be mad. I know it will taste awesome if you make it."

"Your mother said that I washed the vegetables very well yesterday. I watched her a lot, I know all her cooking secrets now. You will see."

Youngbae smiled. "I also have a secret."

Jiyong's eyes widened. "What secret? I want to know, I want to know!"

"You really want to know?"

"Yes!"

"Come closer, I will say it very quietely."

Jiyong leaned over the table that was seperating them.

"Closer."

Jiyong stretched even more, to the point that it was almost painful. "Bae make it quick!"

"Okay.", the educator said, biting his lip before he leaned closer to Jiyong's ear, kissing its shell. "I love you."

"Y-Yah!", the younger man exclaimed, feeling flustered. He rubbed his left ear. "That's no secret."

Youngbae laughed. "It really isn't, right? I must be so obvious. But I can't help it, Jiyong. Whenever you are near me, It becomes hard for me not to kiss you or touch you. Especially when your mother is around." The educator burried his face in his palms, sighing frustatedly.

"You don't need to hold back. Mum is fine with us, Bae."

"I know, I know. But still ... "

"Well, I don't want you to stop ever.", Jiyong smiled. "I don't want us to stop."

Youngbae pulled his hands away from his face, and glanced at the angel in front of him, drowning in his mesmerizing eyes like he did so often. He reached out for his lover's hand and put his lips on it, pecking the white skin. "I don't want to stop being with you, either."

The brunette smiled shyly. "Bae?"

"Hm?"

"Do they like me now, your mother and your sistser?"

"Of course. They think you are adorable. Clumsy, but adorable.", the older man answered smiling.

"Yah! Just because I broke that one cup?"

"Hey, stop sulking. It's really no big deal. And you actually broke one cup and a glass bowl."

"Bae?"

"Hm?"

"I like your family, too. They are just like you: nice, funny, good-looking and their food is delicious!", Jiyong grinnes, rubbing his belly.

"Oh really? Well - wait, did you say good-looking?"

" Yes? Don't you ever look into the mirror?", Jiyong asked, rolling his eyes. "You are very ... uhm, ah what was that word again ... ah, right! y! That means handsome, right?"

"JI-JIYONG!" Youngbae flushed when he noticed people staring at them in the restaurant, some even giggling. "W-Who taught you that word?"

"I heard it on TV. Why? Is it bad?", Jiyong asked innocently, tilting his head. "I just wanted to say something nice to you.", he said pouting.

"A-Ah, well it isn't really bad but you shouldn't use it. It doesn't mean handsome. Well, it does, b-but it's a different kind of handsome, like, uhm - y-yah, what did you watch anyway?"

"Hm.", the brunette put his forefinger on his mouth, pondering. "It was a funny American movie that I watched with appa, but I forgot its name. They sometimes used his word, 'y' and I got curious and asked appa about the meaning."

"And he told you it meant 'handsome'? Really?"

"Yes he did. But his reaction was a bit weird, now that I think about it."

"Ah w-well, anyway, don't use foreign words. If you mean 'handsome' then you say 'handsome', okay?"

"Okay."

Youngbae inhaled and exhaled, thought for a while and then couldn't help but laugh. "But thank you anyway, for calling me handsome."

"Bae, what's this river's name?"

The older man wrapped his arms around his lover from behind, burrying his face in the crook of his neck just to smell the unique sweet smell of Jiyong's skin that he adored so much. "It's called Han-River. I personally love it a lot. When I was younger, my friends and I loved to ride our bikes here or simply hang around."

"It is really beautiful.", Jiyong said silently, leaning back further into Youngbae's warmth, letting him mouth his neck a bit more, to the point that it started to tickle. "Haha, Bae! It feels funny."

The educator pulled back. "I am sorry." He kissed his boyfriend's rosy cheek in order to apologize to him. "Hey, Jiyong."

"Hm?"

"Do you want to know a real secret?"

"If it's really a real secret then I really want to know."

"I promise, this time it is. I haven't told anyone before." Youngbae chuckled. "There is a legend about the Han-River. They say if you throw a white stone into the water and make a wish, it will come true one day. But you are not allowed to tell anyone about it until it has become true!"

"Wow! That's so cool. Can we try that Bae? Can we?"

"I have actually tried it once."

"And? Did your wish come true?"

"Yes." Youngbae unwrapped his arms and turned Jiyong toward himself, hugging him by his waist instead so he can face him. "The day before I went to France, I threw a white stone into the Han-River and wished to come back here one day with the person I will spend my whole life with, the person I love the most."

"And you came here ... with me.", Jiyong smiled shyly, his educator copying his behaviour immediately. "Thank you, Bae."

"No, Ji. I have to thank you. Thank you for loving me, for being on my side.", he whispered the last part and tugged a strand of brown hair behind the brunette's ear, leaning closer to his face until their lips finally touched and a kiss full of love started.

Jiyong wrapped his arms around his boyfriend's neck and closed his eyes, the only thing he felt was the warmth in his system and the cool breeze that prevented him from exploding. When they eventually pulled away, the younger man took a moment to catch his breath before he pulled away from his lover and started eagerly looking for somethig on the river banks.

"Ji? What's wrong?"

"I am looking for a white stone."

Youngbae laughed. "To make a wish? What is it?"

"Hey, I am not supposed to tell you. Have you forgotten?"

A/N: Hi everyone! ^^

How are you doing? I hope everyone is fine. As some of you already knew, I wrote this bonus chapter/ sequel for you all because you really didn't deserve the ty, rushed final I had updated a month ago T.T ! This isn't really better, but it's a bit longer than usual and I tried to include a little bit of everything. It became a bit too cheesy at some parts, I know (Sorry!). I still hope that you will enjoy this somehow! :-)

Thanks again for all your support and love! You are the best!

Love

Hatsumomo.

Chapter 14: (cont... again... geez, this is a long comment x.x) *swoons* I'm so happy you're back from your vacation and I hope you had an amazing time ^_^ You beat me in updating! You even had that vacation in between and I was sitting in front of the computer a lot, just lost x.x But I do love this conclusion a lot, and it just feels right, you know? To end it like this, because their story really doesn't end with them asking their families for acceptance. There's much more to it than that, and we get the perfect taste of it in this chapter, so thank you for taking the time to make this happen! Now that you're back, with whatever you do, I'll be eagerly awaiting your next posting, as I always am :3 And, knowing how it's gone for ME, you'll update with something new before I do. Which I'm glad for because I just love the way you write our precious GDYB, and meanwhile I take forever to get one chapter out x.x Geez... Even if your next venture is really cheesy (which I don't mind a bit! Cheese, angst, as long as it's as well-written as your stories!), I'm looking forward to it.. and to leaving you another super-long comment(s). It does seem like our trademark thing to do after all XD Lovely conclusion, my dear! :D

Chapter 14: (cont.) It really is amazing what two weeks apart did for Jiyong- he came out of his shell in order to impress Youngbae's mother, and wants to learn to cook Youngbae's favorite foods for him to make him happy. He's clearly so mature now... of course, just as I think that, the "y" scene comes in and we're reminded that Jiyong still is, mentally, a child. Youngbae fumbling through an explanation for that one... kinda like the airport scene, I found it as awkward on Youngbae's end as I found it funny on Jiyong's end. And, of course, what trip to Korea would be complete without a visit to the Han River? I love how you made it a unique experience for the two of them with that white stone story. Although, by the time I read that Youngbae wrapped his arms around Jiyong while they were looking at the river, I was pretty much biting my knuckle, trying not to squeal about how precious the whole set-up was. The white stone story was a great way to end the chapter, although I do wonder what it was that Jiyong wished for just as much as Youngbae wondered haha. And the kiss in that last scene too! OMG! I could picture it, and it was full of love and tenderness and, again, development. They're so in love that they just can't keep it confined to the walls of Jiyong's house, and neither care where they are as long as they can hold each other and tell the other how in love they are. You could really feel the love from that, and I think that's what I like most about your stories (besides the way you write them too, which is just lovely), that you can insert this feeling of love in 2D text and make the reader, or me at least, see it as something multi-dimensional and tangible. So when you write "a kiss full of love", I believe it from the way you've shaped the characters and their love.

Chapter 14: I'm so so so so so sorry! I'm a terrible person... I'm behind on all my subscribed stories since I've been so wrapped up in pushing a chapter of my own out, and you did an epilogue! My gosh, I was so confused seeing this story updated at first XD But then I realized what it was and it just made my day! I'm glad you decided to do a resolution that you were more happy with than the previous one ^^

I know I've said protective!Youngbae is my favorite thing ever, but you're making me seriously reconsider replacing that with impatient!Youngbae. I could picture him being all huffy, waiting for Jiyong to arrive and the way you described it was just so cute. Also, every time you had "boyfriend" written, I melted a little X3 I was laughing so hard with the reaction that came with Jiyong kissing Youngbae out in the open like that, but I also was worried about what the reaction of outsiders might be with Jiyong doing that, not fully understanding their situation. You're still consistent with inserting childlike thoughts and ideals of Jiyong in the story. It benefits the reader as much as it benefits the build-up of the character, to fully understand what he is thinking like that. Still, I could feel how awkward that kiss was for Youngbae (but still adorable, of course). The way you developed Jiyong's mom's character is wonderful too, and something I was hoping you'd do. I wanted to get to know her better, and I have a better sense of who she is now thanks to her more prominent appearance in this chapter (doesn't help that she was away for the majority of the story, after all haha).

(Also, if you couldn't tell, I'm writing this comment as I read... XD) I'm gushing over all your character development! I guess it's only fitting that I talk about Jiyong's next. Really, just when I think you've added all the dimensions to your characters, you create another layer for them.
