Why does it have to be you?

Description

  Kang Sun Yee

Ever since her parents split and her mother sister moved to America, everything has gone downhill for Sunyee. Her father came to the conclusion that everyone was not to be trusted because "as soon as you trust someone, you get hurt". He has tried to enforce the same on Sunyee since she was fifteen years old. He didn't want anyone to take his little girl away from him so he had her become unappealing to the public eye. He made her wear huge glasses that nearly covered her whole face, wear her bangs so they were in her eyes all the time and only allowed her to dress in huge clothes that gave her no shape whatsoever.

Sunyee hated every second of it. She wanted to be like all the other girls who got to have boyfriends or even friends in general. She wanted to be able to go shopping for cute clothes because she was a die-hard girlie girl. However, she's way too afraid of her father to defy his rules. She's twenty-one years old now and is still living at home by her father's choosing.

Before her parents split up, Sunyee and her twin sister Sunmi had a mutual love and passion for music. Sunmi would sing and play the piano and Sunyee would dance. No matter how hard their mother faught for the both of them at the time of the divorce, the twins were separated. Junsee went to live with their mother, and Sunyee stayed with their father.

Sunyee encouraged Sunmi to follow her dream since she herself could not but Sunmi refused to try to become an idol if Sunyee wasn't right alongside her. But of course, her father refused to allow her to even dance at home, let alone audition for a talent agency.

Months after the divorce, Sunmi and their mother moved away to the U.S. She tried to keep in touch with them, but her father kept tight watch on her so that barely ever happened either.

She'd sometimes practice her dancing when her father was away on business or at work. She wanted to make sure she didn't get rusty in case one day, she became freed from the miserable life her father is forcing her to live and got to fufill her dream.

Park Chanyeol

He is a member of a popular idol group by the name of EXO. He has the nickname 'happy virus', because he's always upbeat and smiling no matter what. That was of course, until he met Sunyee.

Foreword

Hello everyone! This story is a re-make of one I started a while ago. I neglected it a lot and I didn't like the way it was written, so I decided I should re-write it and try and make it better because I'd really like to finish it. I have up to fourteen chapters already written that I need to go through and edit, but I should be updating relatively fast until I get to that fourteenth chapter. After that, updates will come on average once a week, sometimes more than that and sometimes more than once in a week depending on my schoolwork. Anyway, I hope you enjoy reading this story as much as I do writing it! ^_^

Also, if you'd like, please go check out my Woohyun fanfic as well! I don't have many readers and I'd love to know what people think of it. ( x )
