Final~

Walking on the hallway, he saw a girl sits on the bench in the school garden alone. He couldn't avoid his gaze from her but the bell disrupt him and the next thing he knows that, the girl is missing.

"I better go to my class now"

He stepped inside the class as a new student. Everyone look at him and of course, the girls start to whisper to each other about him. He sits at the empty seat, not knowing what should he do. As he's searching for something inside his bag, he saw a girl walked inside his class and it's her. He couldn't help but to look at her. His eyes follow her until she sits on her seat; the back of the class.

"Hey, are you new here?" a guy asked him. He just nodded.

"Let us tell you something. Don't talk to the strange girl or...."

Since that, he keep hearing the same warning about the girl. He don't even know her name. He took a glance at her and he could see that she is 'strange' to everyone. But he never understand why she is the 'strange' girl. With that, his mind and himself, keep asking what will happen if he talk to the strange girl.

One week had passed and he learnt one thing about her. Seo Joohyun is her name. Everyone used to try befriend with her but at the end, they left her alone as they know how weird and strange she is. She didn't talk too much but love to smile for the whole time. She will follow them everywhere that they go like a lost puppy. She always communicated using her smiles. That's was the reason why she is the ignored girl in the school.

The next few weeks, he still look at her. If their eyes meets, his heart would skip a beat. And he know, he had fell in love with the strange yet ignored girl in the class and unfortunately, in the school. The whole school always ignoring her presence, pretending they didn't see her. She was just like a dust to everyone but not Kai. His eyes always see her. His eyes never leave her.

"Yah!~ Get out of my way!" a guy yelled while pushing her aside. Her books fell on the floor and people just look at her like they don't see her.

Kai clenched his fist as he saw the scene. He can't bear to see people keep mocking her. How people treat her, he can't bear to see it. He approached her and quickly help her to pick all her books. She seems to feel surprise with him because no one help her. No one.

"Here, your books" Kai handed her the books with a wide smile.

"Tha-thanks...." she said, lowered her head.

"I'm Kai. And you are?" Kai asked, smiles at the girl.

"Joo-Joohyun..."

It's the first time someone talk to her nicely. It's the first time someone asked her name. He maybe has the chance to approach her but he never know what will happened if he didn't listen to the warnings.

Kai wait for her as the class dismissed. He picking up his things slowly while looking at her. She's still staring at her book, not wanting to go back.

"Kai, don't you want to go home?" Chanyeol asked.

"Not yet. I'll be late" he grins. Chanyeol just leave him in the class.

Kai still looking at her. His eyes never move to somewhere else but her. His heart can't stop fluttering when he look at her. He could feel the butterflies inside his stomach. Having a crush make him fluster, happy. He had learnt how it feel to fall in love with someone. That's what he thought for the first time.

Rubbing his neck shyly, he walks towards her and the next thing he realised is that he's standing in front of her. She give him a stare. A stare that would give him a heart attack. He never know the consequences of falling in love with the strange and ignored girl.

"D-do you mind to be my fri-friend?" he asked nervously.

She blinks her eyes many times as if her brain is jammed for awhile. But Kai still showing her a smile. He really wanted her to know that he really want to be her friend.

"I...." She can't find any words to say to him. She's speechless.

"It's okay if you don't want" he smiles and start to walk away.

He. Give. Up.

She just look at him until he's gone. It's really surprised her.

As he's taking out his things from his locker, he could sense that someone is standing next to him. He closed his locker and turn around. It's surprised him to know that it's Joohyun.

"Hello, Joohyun. How are you?" he smiles widely, his heart couldn't stop to beat very fast like crazy.

"I-I'm fine...." she lowered her head.

"Let's go to class together" he said, hoping that she'll agree.

"....Okay" she smiles a bit, maybe it's all because she felt nervous.

Both of them walks together and it drive him crazy. He never know that walking with someone that he love will make he feels very happy. Everyone look at them and feels puzzled with Kai. Some of the girls give death stares to Joohyun but both of them just ignored it.

For the next few days, Kai repeated everything that he do with Joohyun. He'll sit next to her in the class, walks together on the hallway, eat together during lunch. He did everything with the ignored girl. All his friends questioned him; what's his motive to do everything with the strange and ignored girl? He would answered them simply; he wanted to be her friend. But day by day, everyone could figure out that Kai had fallen in love with her. But not Joohyun, she's clueless with him.

Kai never feel tired but happy to spend the whole time with her. It even makes him feels happy and excited. His friends kept reminds him about her but he never listen to it. Never. Why would he listen to them? It's not them who was in love with her, it's him. Though she just his one-side crush, he never give up to win her heart or at least give her some clue about his feelings. But she still clueless.

Five months had passed and he still befriend with her. He know it and it's the time today. He'll confess towards her. He will and he surely will. He never mind about what will happen by the time he confess to her. Will she accept it? He don't even know. She kept smiling and it's hard to tell if she also have the same feelings.

Standing in front of his locker like usual, he wait for Joohyun. Usually, Joohyun will waited for him to come to school but today, he want to be the one who wait for her. Because he has a big surprise for her.

Recalled back how Joohyun will wait for him as she want to go to the class with him. How Joohyun will show him her angelic smile when he asked her about her class. How Joohyun will lend him the notes if he absent. It somehow looks like they're an unofficial couple, that's what people see.

A huge sigh escape from his lips as he didn't see her. She never late to school, even once. He keep looking at his watch, hoping that Joohyun will appear and smiles sheepishly at him. But she didn't. He rolled his eyes as the bell ring which mean that he had to go to his class without Joohyun. He walk slowly, hoping that Joohyun will chasing him from behind but she didn't. He keep looking around the hallway before entering his class and.... there's no sign of her. Sighing, he stepped inside his class and walk towards his seat which his friends waiting for him.

He keep looking at the door, still hoping that Joohyun will appear and apologizes to the teacher. But she didn't. The last bell ring which means it's the time to go home. His friends know how sad he is when the girl that he waited didn't come to school.

For the next few weeks, Joohyun still didn't show up. And it's drive him crazy. He can't think anything. He can't do anything instead of thinking about her. Though he asked everyone about her, the answer is they don't know anything about her.

Day had passed and she still disappear. Everyone never care about her because to them, she never existed. Kai had decided. He asked the teacher about her and it's his luck that his teacher gave her address to him. He'll get the answer of everything when her see her.

As the school ended, he quickly running out of his class without saying goodbye to his friends. It somehow surprised them. Kai start to find her house based on the address that his teacher gave.

"141... 142... 143"

He looked up at the house, which he believe it's her house. The house looks small, compared with the others, her house is smaller. He stepped inside her house area and took a deep breath.

"Hello? Anyone here?" he said while knocking the door.

He look at his watch, it's been about 10 minutes and no one answer him. Sighing, he turn around as he give up. But the door opened when he's about to leave the house.

"Yes? Can I help you?" a lady asked while smiling.

He look at the lady and he believe that she is Joohyun's mother. "Is this.... Joohyun's house?" he asked nervously.

There's a sudden change on her face when heard him. "Joohyun? You mean... Seo Joohyun?" she asked, her eyes started to glaze and he don't have any idea.

"Yeah... Seo Joohyun" he nodded.

The lady smiles widely and he could see that she feels very happy. Too happy. "Thank God... Come in.... I'm sure that Joohyun want to see you" the lady pulled him inside before he could say anything.

He look around her house, looks small and seems like she's from a poor family. The lady which is her mother, opened a room door and lead him inside. He know that it's her room. He walked inside her room and to be surprise, she's lying on the bed weakly while showing him an angelic smile. The angelic smile that he couldn't resist. The room smell like the hospital and he know it, he know that she is sick. Joohyun's mother leave them alone as she know that both of them need some space.

"Joohyun-ah...." Kai's voice crack. It's hurt him to see her like that. She looks different. Completely different. She looks weak.

"Kai, how are you? How's school? You know what? I really miss school" Joohyun asked, still showing him a smile.

Kai couldn't help but to cry. Cry to see how hurt she is. How weak she is. And now he know that she is fragile. He could figure out the reason why she is the ignored yet the strange girl.

"What's wrong, Kai? Why do you cry?" Joohyun asked, she looks too innocent.

He's speechless. He could only shooks his head and keep smiling. He don't want to make her worry. He look at the table next to her bed, there are a lot of bottles and he know, it's medicine and painkiller.

"Kai..." her voice crack, "...I'm sick. Leukemia..." tears start to escape from her eyes and he can't hold it anymore.

He pulled her into his embrace and he hug her tightly. He don't want to lose her. He love her, really. Both of them speechless and she choked her tears in his arms. Joohyun's mother was there, looking at them and can't stop crying. She understand how Joohyun and Kai feel. It's really hurt.

Since that day, Kai come to her house everyday, knowing that she couldn't come to school anymore. Her mother told him that she don't have any chance to stay alive anymore, it's hurt him even more. He never know why his one-sided love should be the painful one. As he looked at her, he know the answer of his question; what will happen if he talk to the strange girl? He know the answer now.

"Kai... Can I look at the stars?" Joohyun asked, resting her head on his shoulder.

"Of course you can..." he said, try to hold his tears.

Joohyun slowly put his hand on her chest. It makes him puzzled but he could feel how fast her heart beat is. She's fluttering, maybe.

"Is it fast?" she asked, smiles shyly at him.

"Yeah... Too fast" he grins sheepishly.

She turns her head towards him, smiles at him. He know how painful the smile is but he can't do anything. As both of them start to cry, Kai don't want to waste his time anymore. He pull her closer to him and slowly, their lips touched each other. He look at her and wiped her tears.

"Kai..." she speechless.

"I love you, Joohyun. I love you"

Those words, those three words are the words that she really wanted to hear from him. She was very happy at the time he confessed. She couldn't stop herself to smile widely. Very wide.

"I love you too, Kai" she hugged him tightly. He can only smile and cry.

She pushed him aside and coughing. She coughing like crazy and without he realised it, is full of blood. The blood that come out when she's coughing. He couldn't resist it. He felt like he wanted to faint. His head start to dizzy. But he had to fight it. He need to be strong for the girl that he love.

He took his sweater and use it to wipe all her blood. The more he wiped it the more the blood that come out of . She couldn't stop coughing. And without he realised it, he passed out and the last thing he could see is Joohyun's mother come to help them.

It's raining heavily and he's standing in front of a thing called grave. It's her. It's her grave. She left him. He couldn't help but tears escape from his eyes. Joohyun's mother know how much Kai love Joohyun. Her mother was awared with it. Joohyun kept telling her about Kai. What they did together and the most painful thing she could told her was, she fell in love with him. Joohyun knew that it was impossible for them to be together but she can't resist it. She still wanted to love that guy, that guy who gave her light.

When his friends asked him, what will happen if he talk to the strange girl, he would answer it simply. He know the answer from beginning but it just them who never know it. That's why they never finished their warnings.

"If you talk to the strange girl....
