      The car rumbled along the bumpy road, spewing gravel as it went. I groaned as I bonked my head for the 100th time, literally, on the roof of the small, yellow taxi that smelled like it had never seen an air-freshener.          I bounced up and down the seat, glaring at the back of the taxi driver’s head, not caring if he couldn’t see my fury. What kind of luxurious transportation is this?!      The advertisement had clearly stated that this taxi was well-known for its splendid customer service and comfortable traveling. To hell with the luxury, I can’t even sit properly. I grunted again as I took another ride to the top, this time all my belongings that I had stuffed in the seat next to me tumbling onto the ground.      The trunk of the car had been stuffed with my suitcases, not leaving an inch of space for my other necessities. I had sadly thrown away most of my personal assets, due to the fact that I was nearly broke, and I couldn’t afford a mover’s truck.       I shot daggers at the uncaring driver, thinking that I would’ve been better off hitching a ride in someone’s car than being thrown around like a sack of potatoes.   ‘Only one shot only one shot Ireul kkwak mulgo deombyeodeureo one shot Only one shot only one shot’        I fumbled for my phone as B.A.P’s One shot ringtone sliced through the dusty air, only to have it tumble out of my hand as the driver hit a bumpy spot on the road. ‘Sesangui neoreul deonjyeobeoryeo one shot Only one shot only one shot’    “Turn it off!” The driver barked not looking back. I froze with my hands outstretched, mentally debating whether or not to purposefully not turn it off or to answer the phone. Choosing the latter I grabbed the phone and slid the red button across the touch screen (yes it was an Iphone; secondhand too). “Yoboseyo?” I held the phone close to my ear to block out the harsh sounds of the tires bouncing on the gravel. “Ah Sooyoung-ah, have you reached your new house yet?” My dad’s gruff voice sounded from the speaker. “Aniyo, appa. Waeyo?” I asked. “Nothing, just make sure you eat well and do good in your studies. I transferred money into your bank account. I’ll see you after I come back from the company tour next year.” I sighed. A year till I see my father again. My father was the CEO of Choi’s Electronics Company. Why then am I almost broke? Well, you see my father believes in “Earning your righteous way into the world”, so I have to work for my own. “Sooyoung-ah?” I shook myself out of my despair and answered. “Ah appa.” “Well, it’s time for me to leave now. Bye, take care.” “Bye appa, sarangh-..” My sentence got cut off as my dad hanged up the phone. I slowly lifted the phone away from my ear, the dial tone still buzzing. I sighed while looking at it. So much for having a dad, he doesn’t even love me.  I turned it off and slid the phone into my pocket, looking out the window. I groaned and slammed my head into the headrest when I remembered I had to find a new job. I unknowingly dozed off on the suitcase next to me, slipping into a care-free dream.  -10 min later- “Miss! Miss!” I groggily opened my eyes to the rough shaking of the driver. I held my head as I sat up, ignoring the curt demands from the driver. Feeling the prospect of another pounding headache, I turned my attention to the driver who was standing on the sidewalk, spewing some rubbish while frantically waving his hands around.I looked behind him and gasped.      I had absolutely no idea that when my father said he would buy me the house that he would buy me such a big house. Well he probably took that as your birthday and Christmas present. “Miss will you please take you and your belongings off my car! I have other customers to drive around!” The driver now looked thoroughly annoyed.       I sighed and slowly and ungracefully got out of the car, nearly falling face-first on the ground, had I not grabbed the door to support myself. I then turned to the hideous task of unloading all my belongings.         The driver helped me to remove the ones in the trunk, insisting that it was his duty. But I suspected he only did that because of his pending customers, not out of manners. After the last suitcase was tossed recklessly to the ground (courtesy of the flippant driver), I opened my purse to hand the wad of cash over to the driver, who stood with his hands outstretched looking like a puppy about to receive a bone treat.      I reluctantly handed over the money and watched longingly as my savings were carelessly stuffed into his pocket. There goes my savings. He jumped into the taxi, not even bidding a goodbye, and drove away, leaving me coughing and spluttering in the cloud of dust he had stirred up with the rusty engine. I turned around and sighed as I scanned all the stuff on the ground, taking up all the sidewalk space. I did a mental count of the property and decided to just carry it in one by one. I pushed my purse’s strap higher over my shoulder, and begrudgingly bent down to lift the first suit case. I started to walk away when I decided with my oh-so-
