Within a month Kris and Xiao Lu will be graduated from their high school. Both of them were so excited to leave their high school. They were just bored and couldn’t wait to meet their future.

This morning Xiao Lu had breakfast with his parents. Like usual family, they spent their breakfast with talking some issues

"Lu, i have a good news for you" KangTa suddenly made a new topic

"Really? What is that, Pa?"

"I already registered you to the best design school..."

Xiao Lu directly stopped munching his food and looked at his father

"A-are you serious?"

"Yes, baby! Your father didn’t tell you before because he wanted to make a surprise. We knew that being a professional designer is your dream since you were a kid" Victoria said

Xiao Lu suddenly stood up from his seat and hugged his father

"Thank you,Pa!!! Thank you so much!!"

KangTa chuckled watching him and patted his head like a little kid

"Yeah.. Yeah.. You're welcome, son! And you can start packing now because you're going to Paris right after the graduation day"

Xiao Lu immediately released his hug and put a shocked face

"W-what? P-paris?

"You heard me, Lu! The world knows the best place to learn fashion is Paris" KangTa explained

"It means i should leave Seoul?"

KangTa laughed at his son silliness

"Of course, Lu! Paris is in the other side of the earth"

"B-b-but.. " Xiao Lu paused "i can’t leave Seoul" he said weakly and looked down at his plate

KangTa stopped eating and scoffed

"You can’t leave Seoul or you can’t leave Kris?" he asked his son with tense tone

Xiao Lu startled. He didn’t expect that his father could read his expression. His father was right. He couldn’t go to Paris because he couldn’t …he didn’t want to leave Kris.

Or maybe.. He could ask Kris to leave with him.

Xiao Lu POV

I called Kris and asked him to meet me at the park. Tonight i tried to tell him about Paris. 5 minutes after i arrived in the park, Kris came... But with 'weird' face. We're already dating for 6 years; i know that kind of face is when Kris had a problem which he couldn’t solve.

"Hi.." I greeted him simply and he answered my greeting by kissing my forehead.

He then took a seat and sighed heavily like he is bringing the world in his shoulder now.

"Uhmm.. Are you okay, babe?" I asked carefully

Before he could answer, i warned him "and don’t try to lie to me"

He sighed again before answered

"My mom..."

Without Kris finished his sentence, i already knew what happened.

Since i knew Kris, i knew about his family which is only his mom. Kris' father is already passed away before Kris was born. His mom is the only daughter. Her parents and husband didn’t left enough things for them. Kris and his mom have to life in simplicity.

Things that make me proud of Kris are he never feels ashamed with his family economy condition. Instead of being ashamed, Kris fights for his family. Kris studies hard so he could get scholarship. Thus he could go to school for free. He works part time in an ads company and spent his salary for his mom's chemotherapy.

After gave birth of Kris, doctor diagnosed that his mom got some kind of blood disease. To keep her alive she needs to get some treatments which are not cheap.

And even he knew that i'm a son of the owner of ZM Corporation, the biggest company in South Korea, he never asked me or accept even one cent from me.

What else can make me proud to have a boyfriend like Kris?

"And what the doctor said now?" I brought back the early topic

"Since her disease is getting worse, the treatment is getting more expensive too" he sighed "and i dont have enough money"

I sighed and held his hand "Kris..."

I really wanted to continue my sentence by 'you can borrow my money' but i knew Kris didn’t like it. We even ever fought just because i insisted to lend him some money but he refused because he didn’t want me to think that he just dated me because of the money

He just smiled and squeezed my hand.

"Anyway, you said you wanted to say something to me? What is it?

I startled he still remembered what i said. I looked away from Kris, thinking. i was thinking whether i should say to him about Paris. I felt that this is not the right time. Kris' mind already full of his mom now and my news just will burden him more

"Uhmm.. Nothing.. Forget it"

"Ayy.. Xiao Lu.." He ruffled my hair so gently

I looked at him

"Don’t think about my mom. I'm fine. I have already faced this condition" he said like he could read my mind

"Tell me, baby" he caressed my cheek

I took a deep breath before i spoke
