Prologue:

The cold wind violently blew on my face as I felt my body shiver from the rush outtake of the wind. It was a cold winter night and the streets were almost empty apart from the cars passing by. I hugged my red coat tightly and adjusted my scarf. I sat patiently inside an empty bus stop. The bus stop had a small light bulb which flickered on and off. It was around 3 in the morning so there were no buses arriving.

I waited and waited, head turning left to right from time to time hoping that a figure would suddenly appear. I looked up at the dark sky filled with bright stars as tears started appearing from the corner of my eyes. Have you forgotten our promise? Have you forgotten about me already? I slowly moved my numb arms to have a look at my watch only to find out that I've been waiting for 2 hours already. I sighed and quickly stood up. He wasn't coming. It's been 14 years already.

"Happy Birthday, Han Jaejoong," I whispered as I started walking away from the bus stop. I wiped the remaining tears away from my cheeks. This will be the last time I'll ever step foot from this bus stop. This will be the last time I'll ever wait for you.
