“Mama, when is papa coming home?” Five year old Zitao asked his mama.

Junmyeon sighed as he heard the question make way out of his son’s mouth. “I don’t know, sweetie.” 

Zitao frowned at the answer he received from his mama. “Why don’t you know?” he asked oblivious of his mama’s irritated face.

Junmyeon was losing his patients with his son, but he knew that he shouldn’t lash his anger and frustration on his son. “Well, honey, I haven’t spoken to papa since this morning.” He explains to the child on his lap.

“Why?” Zitao asked playing with the hem of his mama’s shirt.

“Papa forgot his phone and I left mine at work.”         

Zitao looked at his mama not convinced. “I thought that papa had a work phone and we have a phone here.”

Junmyeon forgot how smart and observant his son was. Of course he would remember all those things. He gave his son a soft smile, “Baby, I have a surprise for you.” He said trying to switch subjects.

“What is it?” Zitao looked up at his mama with curious eyes, forgetting about his papa.

Junmyeon just took his son’s tiny hands and placed them both on his stomach. “You are going to be a big brother.”

Zitao gasped as he felt a slight bump (you can barely see it, you would have to touch or stand right on front of Junmyeon’s stomach to see it) on his mama’s stomach. “Really?” He asked with a smile.

“Yes, baby.” His mama smiled at him.

For the next couple of hours went by with Junmyeon and Zitao thinking of names for the baby. Since Zitao’s papa—Yifan—was the one to name him, Junmyeon decided that he and Zitao are going to name the baby together. They went through so many names and decided on two names, (since they don’t the of the baby) Hyunsoo if the baby is boy and Myungji if the baby is girl.

Junmyeon couldn’t help but smile at the smile his son has on his little face. He thought that Zitao was going to be like every other child reacts when their parent’s announce that they are having another child. With him yelling, screaming, sobbing, asking why and “do not want me anymore!” He is glad that Zitao is slightly mature for his age. He knows when to be serious, he knows when he is doing something bad, he knows when his parents are feeling down, and he knows a lot of things.  

He couldn’t be more grateful that his son has not caught on what’s going on with him and Yifan. They have been drifting that past couple of months. Yifan had been cold to him lately, ignoring him, coming home late or not coming home at all. And when Junmyeon would ask him where his was at, all he would say was, “I was at Jiyong’s.”

He knew it was all lie, but he chose to listen to his husband. When he was doing the laundry he would find stains and thought nothing of it, it was normal for a man to do those things. However he couldn’t help but be just a little bit suspicious, because why didn’t just Yifan tell him that he was feeling that way, Junmyeon could have helped him. He got a little bit more suspicious when he found some underwear in his hamper, he knew that they weren’t his and they weren’t his husbands. Junmyeon questioned his husband about it, and he said that he had an accident at work and he bought those.

Yifan even began to treat Zitao coldly; most of their fights consist of them about Zitao, on how his husband would ignore Zitao or get mad at him for no reason. He never smiles anymore, Junmyeon took notice of it. He only smiles when his is on his phone or computer. Junmyeon thinks that it is his mother-in-law; his husband just adores his mom.

Junmyeon was done tucking in Zitao and was about to leave when his son’s soft tiny voice call for him.

“Mama?”

Junmyeon turned and walked toward his son, “Yes, sweetie?”

“Do you think papa will be in a good mood when you tell him you are pregnant?” Zitao asked.

Junmyeon sighed then smiled, “Of course he will. No go to sleep you have school tomorrow.” he told his sleepy panda.

Zitao nodded, “Okay, mama. ‘Night, I love you.” he whispered drifting off to sleep.

“Goodnight, baby. I love you too.” He kissed his son’s head and walked out of then room.

Once he was out in the hall he looked down at his tummy and softly patted the small bump.

“Hopefully daddy will be happy to know about you.”

Junmyeon spent the rest of the night just cleaning and making Yifan some late dinner. Also thinking about how was he going to tell him that he was pregnant. Will he be happy? Will he be mad? Will he yell at him? Will he cry and be in disbelief like how he was when he found out about Zitao?

Junmyeon doesn’t know how he’ll react since they really haven’t had a real conversation in about a month. 

It was around midnight when he heard the front door open. Junmyeon got up from the living room couch and walked to the front door. He saw his husband taking off his shoes and putting on the house slippers.

“Yifan.” He softly called out, holding onto the hem of his apron.

Yifan looked up and locked eyes with his husband’s soft eyes. “Hey.” He shortly greeted.

“Welcome home.” Junmyeon softly greeted his husband.

Yifan rolled his eyes and walked right pasted Junmyeon without saying anything else. Junmyeon sighed. “Well, baby we better tell daddy.” He murmured and walked into the living room and saw his husband sitting down on the couch with his eyes closed.

“Yifan.” He called out, standing at the living room entrance.

He heard Yifan sigh, “What?” he coldly asked.

Junmyeon gulped, “How was your day?” he asked taking slow steps towards his husband.

“It was okay. The same .” Yifan sharply responded. Junmyeon flinched at the way his husband spoke.

“Oh.”

He sat down beside Yifan and opened his mouth a few times to start a conversation with his husband.

“Do you have something to say?” Yifan bluntly asked him.

“Y-Yes.” He stuttered out.

“What is it?”

Junmyeon looked down at his fingers not wanting his husband to see his face. He has to say it; he can’t just be quiet about it. Yifan has the right to know about his child. He took a deep breath.

“I’m pregnant.”

He said it. He finally said it. He finally got to tell his husband that they were going to have another child.

Yifan turned to look at Junmyeon, “What?” he asked with wide eyes.

“I’m pregnant.”

Junmyeon slowly picked up his head meeting his husbands shocked one. “Yifan?” he called out, but got no reply.

The phone suddenly rang, but neither of them got up to answer it. They just let it ring and ring and they gazed into each other’s eyes not saying a word.

The answering machine went off. “Hello this is the Wu residents. We are not here right now, so please leave a message after the beep and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible!”

Beep!

“Hey,” A young man’s voice appeared after the beep. “I guess you are not home and neither is Junmyeon. I was just going to hang up if he answered, but nah, I decided to leave a message since you said that you are the one who checks the machine. Anyway, Yifan, I just wanted to tell you that I hope you got home safe and that I had a great time with you. with you is always the best; no, wait, making love with you is the best! I love you, Fannie! Oh! This is Kibum if you haven’t realized. I love you! Hope you dream of me!”

The line went dead.

“And you are cheating on me.” Junmyeon whispered.
