Don’t be afraid to ask for a review, because our aim is to help you improve your writing and bring out that special jewel in your story!
Rules
- To request for a review, leave the filled up form in the comments section below and please comment again once you have received/ read the review.
- Subscribe, so that you will be notified when your review is done.
- Credit the review by putting a link back to this shop’s foreword page in your foreword and not the review as the reviews may be deleted in future. Remember that it's the least you could do after the amount of effort that was put into your review.
- All stories are allowed! Hit us with any type of fanfic you’ve got, be it m rated, , yuri etc.
- Regardless of how long your story is, we will only read up to 15 chapters.
- Rudeness will not be tolerated. Anyone that bashes the shop, reviewers or reviews will be put on our blacklist.
- Please be patient when waiting for your review to be done. We reviewers have lives outside of AsianFanFics too and won’t always be able to give you your review under a few days.
- Text selection must be allowed in order for us to correct your grammar errors, wrong sentence structures etc.
- With effect from 21/05/14 (Wed), all reviewed stories that do not credit the shop within 2 months after the review has been posted, will be blacklisted.

Rubric
Title: -/5
How original and unique your title is will be graded. It is important to have an eye catching title and have it relate to your plot at the same time.
Overall Appearance: -/10
This section will include your poster, background, layout, paragraphing, font and size.
Description and Foreword: -/10
Your foreword page is the most important part of your story because it will determine how many readers you’ll get. Is it too chunky, filled with tons of words, or too confusing to the reader? All grammar mistakes and wrong sentence structures will be corrected under the language section.
Plot: -/20
The originality of a plot is a big factor when writing a story, but don’t think that just because a story is cliché it is unoriginal. There may be many plot twists or changes to it than you may expect. What we will look for the most is whether it is unique, exciting, shocking (to some extent), makes us want to read more- but most of all realistic. Just keep in mind that good plots will always have complications to give the story more depth and to entertain the reader.
Language: -/20
We will comment on your writing style, grammar, sentence structures and descriptive writing. For descriptive writing, we will look out for how impactful your story is on the readers with just the words you use and the way they are phrased. Some of the things that will be corrected are your tenses, grammar, sentence structure, punctuation, informal writing (like capitalising) and incomplete sentences.
Characterization: -/15
How well do you characterise your characters? Are their appearances/ personalities cliché, extroverted or introverted? Only you as the author would know, hence we will comment on how well you are able to describe their physical appearances, feelings/thoughts, background and characteristics.
Flow: -/10
Flow is important as no one would want to read a story that is too fast/slow or does not have a smooth transition. Does your story keep changing point of view or does it keep jumping scenes? The flow should be just right, or else it might turn readers off.
Overall Enjoyment: -/10
The reviewer will state whether he/she has enjoyed the story or not and why. They will also give their personal opinion as a reader about certain events that happened in the story and what impacted them about it the most.
Grand Total: -/100
This section will basically just sum up all the good and bad points of the story and how the author can tackle them.
