Chapter 7

Rea went out to throw a bagful of garbage that afternoon while Paula went out for a grocery. Michi was getting ready for her 3rd interview.

“Rea, leave me some dinner ok? I might come home late.” Michi mouthed as they went out the door together.

“Ok unni. Good luck on your interview!”

Michi then walked to the elevator.

The door is closing when suddenly someone came right before it closed so to get a ride too.

Michi then felt her anger burning again for she just saw who it was.

KIM JAEJOONG!

She kept her composure. She wasn’t talking at all. She tried not to crumple to documents for her application in her hands for her hands were clenching a fist in anger.

Jaejoong was surprised too of whom he just shared the elevator with.

There was silence.

They were both watching each others moves.
Trying to get a hold of themselves not to fight again.

The silence was suddenly broken by a song.

Michi stopped breathing. She looked at Jaejoong and she just found him looking at her too with that questioning look.

Michi couldn’t look at him straight. She was eaten with embarrassment for it was her phone ringing.

That was the ringtone of her freaking cellphone!!!

She forgot change it last night. Actually she has no plans of changing it because she wasn’t thinking about it.

She then quickly reached for her phone and answered it.

“Yoboseyo? Yes speaking.”

She took a glance of Jaejoong beside her. He was smiling by himself.
He looks so amused of how she was embarrassed by the ringtone.

Just the other night she was cursing him for all his improper actions but still her ringtone was his voice.

She rolled her eyes and made sure that Jaejoong saw her expression.

Jaejoong did saw it and he just kept smirking.

She was really irritated now. Yet she kept her voice as natural as possible to the one she’s talking to.

“What? Why? Why all of a sudden? I thought you needed nurses?”

Her attention was shifted all back to the other person on the line.

“Ok, I understand. Thank You.”

She turned off her phone weakly.

Jaejoong was watching her all those time.
She knew he must have understood what just happened.


The hiring for nurses in the hospital was cancelled.

She sighed.

She needed the job.

She has to work to sustain their living.


She just spoke. And her intention was for Jaejoong to hear it.

“Well, sometimes bad lucks happen when you’re with terrible people.”

Jaejoong’s knew it was him that she was referring to.

“Well, sometimes bad lucks happen to those who don’t know how to forgive.”

She gave him a sharp look.


Now he’s talking back!

Michi wanted to throw him back another word.

But then the elevator suddenly opened.

Jaejoong then went out of the elevator even before she could speak.

She sighed again. She felt bad having this kind of feud with Jaejoong.
She never thought she was like this. She liked him so much before she met him, but now, having this kind of war with him makes her look at him differently.

She called Rea about the call she received from the hospital. And Rea was sad about it too. Michi decided to not go home yet although she has no interview, she went to the other possible hospitals that might accept her application.

Rea was left at the apartment thinking also on how to get herself a job. Like Michi she has submitted resumes but none has called yet.

She was sitting on the couch when she heard a doorbell.

She opened the door and she her heart jumped when she realized who it was.

“Micky ssi.”

“Anyeong.”

“Anyeong. Get in.”

“I’m really sorry about what happened.” Said Micky as he took a seat on the living room.

“Yeah, too bad. Anyways, we could fix that soon.”

“I was hoping about that too.”

“But I think, knowing unni, I couldn’t tell when will she accept Jaejoong’s forgiveness, if he will ask for it, because we have problems now.”

“What problems?”

“We’re jobless. I haven’t received any call from those hospitals I have submitted my resumes. And Michi unni just got rejected from a job offer.”

“I see. Too bad. But did you just said hospitals?”

“Yeah, we are nurses Micky ssi.”

“Just call me oppa, please.”

Rea laughed a bit when he asked to become informal.

“Ok, Micky oppa.”

“So you are nurses? Really? Wow.”

“What is so amazing about it?”

“Nothing. I mean. I never thought you were.”

“We’ll there’s nothing good about it for now that we can’t even practice.”

“You can find a job soon. Don’t worry.”

“I hope your right.”

Micky gave Rea a comforting smile and a tap on the shoulder.

“I just came here for that. I hope all this mess will be fixed soon.”

“Yeah. I do hope too.”

Rea then lead Micky to the door as he was leaving.

“Uhm.. Rea, is it alright if you won’t work as nurses for now? I mean get another kind of job while looking for the job you really wanted?” She heard Micky said.

“Uhm.. it’s fine with me. That’s a good idea. Thanks for that oppa.”

Micky smiled at her and then left.







After an hour, Micky went back to their apartment.

“Rea ssi!!!”

“What? Why are you in a hurry?”
Micky was panting. And she laughed looking at his face like that.

“Breathe oppa.” She told him laughing.

Micky followed what she just said.

“Uhmm… Rea, is it ok for you to work for me? I mean, you and Michi even Paula ssi too.”

“What? Work for you? What kind of job?”

Micky was silent for a while.

“Uhmm.. as our assistants. I think you are highly qualified for the job”

“What? That’s absurd oppa.”

“I think that’s a good offer.”

“So what’s our job description then?”

“Uhm.. Assistants. So you would help us from everything we need. But sometimes, we’d be working all day and have only a few sleep, can you bear that?”

“Uhm… I think so... but I have to ask unni about that. And I really couldn’t promise her approval.”

“I know. I just hope she would accept the offer.”

She smiled at Micky. He was really trying to help them.

Paula might love the offer because of Junsu, but will unni accept it? She sighed
