Kaylin’s POV

          I knew himchan was a pretty wealthy man but I didn’t know he was this wealthy. His house mansion was huge and gorgeous, this was only the outside I could only imagine how the inside looks.

“Himchan your mansion is-.”

“I know, funny. You had the same reaction the guys did when they first came here.” he said rubbing the back of his neck, “shall we then?” he said holding his hand out. I placed my hand in his and I could already feel Yongguk’s stare stabbing us behind the back. The minute we stepped foot inside, I couldn’t help but awe at everything; The chandeliers that sparkled above us, the lit candles, the sounds of glass clanking with each other, small talks and chuckles. I was so mesmerized that I didn’t notice Himchan had his arm around my waist.

“Sorry if this makes you uncomfortable, but we have to look like a real couple.” He whispered into my ear, his breath tickling my neck causing me to let out a giggle. “Understand.” I whispered back.

“Himchan!” we both turned around and spotted a man in his late 40’s walking towards us with a girl who looked my age, she had long silky straight hair, burgundy with china bangs and her dress was just beautiful.

“Wah~” I whispered, “Himchan she’s gorgeous.” I looked up and found himchan’s mouth dropped wide open, I couldn’t help but let out a chuckle. His father stood before us and Himchan’s mouth was still wide open, drool threatening to spill from his mouth. I pinched him on the , to snap him out.

“Ah-Appa. . . Annyeonghaseyo.” He said, both of us bowing to him.

“And this lovely girl here must be Kaylin correct?”

“Annyeonghaseyo.” I said giving him another bow. He gave me a warm smile before turning back to Himchan, his eyes never leaving the girl standing beside his dad. I couldn’t blame him, she is gorgeous, she was one of those types of women who you’d see in a coffee shop, with the sun shining on her hair and she’d just sit there sipping her coffee as she watched life fly by.

“Ah, Himchan-ah. I’d like you to meet Yuri.” She smiled at us and slightly bowed, we were both mesmerized by her beauty. “It’s nice to finally meet you. Kim Himchan.”

“Now that’s done with Son! I would like you to meet a few other people.”

“Will you be okay alone?” he whispered into my ear, I gave him a nod and off he went; being dragged by his father.

“Yuri right?” I said holding out my hand, “my name is Kaylin.”

“it’s finally nice to meet you too.” She said taking my hand.

“Shall we talk somewhere more privately?”

“Ah yes, please if you don’t mind . . . follow me.” I followed her as she led me up the staircase and into a room. It was filled with baby pictures and school photos. Himchan’s room, she walked out onto the balcony and I followed her. The view of his garden was breathtaking and the smell of roses invaded our noses.

 “Can I ask you something?” she said finally breaking the silence.

“Oh s-sure. . .” I stuttered, nearly slapping myself. “Are you really Himchan’s girlfriend? I mean, there were rumors’ going around the agency’s that you and Yongguk are a thing.”

I let out a small chuckle, “I was going to tell you, I swear I was.”

“I’m not here to stop you and Himchan, I’m actually here to help the both of you; and the way you blew us away today only made this a whole lot easier.”

“I don’t understand. . .”

“My plan was to get Himchan to change his mind about this whole arranged marriage, I honestly thought he knew better, after all Yongguk and I met through arranged marriage. Of course Yongguk hated the idea of being forced into something that he didn’t want to do, but over time he began changing. Instead of pushing me away, he pulled me closer. He was against me being Himchan’s “girlfriend” but I did it anyways and once this whole thing is over I’m pretty sure I’m not going to see some daylight for a few days.”

“Oh my Yongguk. . . he hits you?”

“No no no no no ! that’s not what I meant! What I meant was. . .” my face started to burn and I can tell I was turning red. Yuri’s eyes widened when she finally figured it out and she too began turning red.

“S-sorry.”

“N-no no no it’s okay. . .”

We both stayed in silent, an uncomfortable one. “Himchan doesn’t remember but I do. . .” she let out a sigh, “Himchan and I were childhood neighbors, I had just moved into the city from the country. His parents and mines got along pretty good but as for us, Himchan didn’t even bother playing with me. It was also hard trying to fit in and I constantly got bullied just because I dressed a tad bit differently and I kept carrying around a stuffed bear of mines around. One day two boys from the kindergarten I went to snatched my bear away, they kept tossing it back and forth even tripped me, making me fall onto a puddle. I was about to cry when Himchan saved me,  ever since that day I just couldn’t help but fall in love with him.”

“I didn’t stop bothering him since then, I was always with him. I even waited for him to come home from school, I didn’t care if it was snowing, raining, even when I was sick I would wait for him, he would always flick me on the forehead after he came home.”

“I was 16 and Himchan had just turned 19, my mom gave me a bouquet of roses to give to himchan’s parents and of course I was more than happy to. When I got there Himchan was gone, his dad told me that he went out to go be an idol. He left without saying a good-bye. I haven’t seen him face to face till today.”

My phone began buzzing inside my purse.

To:Kaylin

From: Himchan Oppa

“ Yah where did you two run off to? Appa is about to do his toast and he wants everyone to be here.”

“Himchan?” Yuri said.

“Yeah, his father is about to do a toast and everyone has to be there.” We both walked down the staircase and we were immediately greeted by both Himchan and Yongguk. I wrapped my arms around Yongguks and to my surprise Himchan didn’t stop me, instead he stuck his hand out to Yuri for her to take.

she was both please but mostly surprised at his gesture, both Yongguk and i watched as we saw Himchan turn bright red and began to fidget all of a sudden when Yuri just stood there. She let out a soft giggle before placing her hand in his.We all walked into the dining room where Himchan’s dad was on the other side of the table. Everyone crowded around trying to catch the glimpse of the great man, i guess these types of dinner come every once in a while.

“I’d like to make a toast,” he said holding up his glass of wine. “I would just like to thank my son, Himchan for coming even though –.” The powers shut off all of a sudden and the room was filled with mumbles. All of a sudden I felt a sharp pain on the crook of my neck, my eyelids were getting heavy and then I couldn’t hear anything.
