Description

I used to be naive.

I used to be full of smiles and laughter.

I used to be kind and compassionate.

Used to.

"They broke me...I can't go back to the way I used to be."

In Do Kyungsoo's eyes, the world is nothing but a cruel dimension filled with betrayal and lies. He was disgusted by it, yet he was forced to be apart of it, playing important roles in the society of corrupt souls.

He saw what those filthy men did to those poor women, yet he never spoke of it.

He had witnessed brutal murders, even being forced to participate in one, but he didn't utter a word.

There were a lot of crimes Do Kyungsoo saw, but he dared not go to the police, for his superiors would destroy him...just like the others who were foolish enough to attempt to escape from their grasp. He's experienced and lived the life he's been living far too long to call for help, to turn his life around and go back to his old lifestyle...back to his naive, ignorant self.

He couldn't do that. Not because he didn't want to, but because he simply couldn't. Appalling memories would swim through his mind at night, keeping him awake while waves of guilt and disgust lingered around his body. Those memories would serve as an eternal reminder for the sins he has commited. What those men did to him traumatized him and scarred him for life.

Do Kyungsoo was broken, broken beyond repair.

"Nothing is impossible."

Kim Jongin saw the world as a beautiful place; of course, it had its ups and downs, but if you find the right places, the beauty of the world would overwhelm you. He had a mindset that if you tried your hardest, you could anything, hence the reason why he went around, trying to conquer every obstacle in his way.

So when he and Kyungsoo met, he made it a life goal to make the apathetic male warm up and have him befriend him.

Little did he know what troubles he would bring himself into.
