It is with a heavy heart that I write you this letter. Given the circumstances we both are facing, I ask of you to dispose of this letter upon reading it.

The day I first laid my eyes upon your beauty, I was captivated. Our family has already suffered tremendously, and I wish to avoid causing any more trouble. Do you understand, my love? Do you understand why I can no longer stay by your side as I originally planned? Rest assured, I will take care of you even from afar. With this letter, I have attached a great amount of money that will hopefully help you with your new life in the valley.

Luhan stared down at the letter with shaky hands. The name neatly written at the bottom of the letter only belonged to one man: the Jiaqing Emperor. Luhan’s thoughts swirled inside his mind, causing him to feel dizzy. He fell to his knees and took in deep breaths.

“So I see you have found the letter my father sent.”

Luhan’s hands stopped trembling and he only felt numbness consume his body. He slowly turned his head, and the last thing he remembered before his vision turned gloomy was the dark expression on the face of the emperor’s eldest son.

New story alert! I know I currently have an ongoing story, but this idea just popped into my mind and I'm afraid I won't be able to think clearly if I don't write it out as soon as possible. LOL.
