Song Kaeun: new target. That's how she saw herself. That's pretty much how the school saw her. They believed that the only reason she got to attend their school was because of reasons that disgusted her. But how could she tell them the truth about why she was there?
oh sehun
Not much is known about the playboy heir of the Oh family. With his face void of expression and a girl on each arm, no one dared to mess with him. There was something about his icy glare that intimidated them. But it seemed like almost no one knew the real Oh Sehun.
lu han (luhan)
A man with a talent for the arts; known to be Sehun's only friend amongst the younger's classmates. He chooses those that he cares for above all else and protects them at all costs. He became Kaeun's step-brother when his mother took her in earlier in the summer.
She was dreading the day she had to step foot into her new school. Now that the day has finally arrived, she knew that there was no turning back. It had to be done. This was for the better. Clutching her backpack closer to her body, she took a soft step into the large building.
The whispers started immediately.
"Isn't that the new girl?"
"Yeah, did you hear how she got into this school? Girls like her disgust me."
"How can such a prestigous high school accept such a dirty piece of trash? Ugh."
Her hands gripped tightly onto the straps of her bag, trying to stop them from shaking. Her knuckles turned pale from the pressure. Keeping her eyes glued to the floor, she took slow steps as she tried to stop the tears before they fell. She shouldn't let them see how weak she was; that would only make matters worse. But why won't these damn tears stop?
"Look at her. Stupid piece of ."
"What makes you think you can come here? Go back to the streets where you belong."
Just as the first few tears began to fall, she felt a warmth around her. She found that the other students' remarks became less audible as two hands covered her ears. And though the tears fell, no one could see. She silently thanked the boy for blocking her from the others. It wasn't the first time he had protected her from the outside world. He was always her savior.
"Don't let them get to you. It isn't everyday they get to see an angel."
His voice alone comforted her enough to be able to put on a brave face and face the world. Because to Song Kaeun, her Luhan oppa was one of the only good things about her life.
"Come on, I have a friend I want you to meet."
