Doyoung

Finito (maybe Reposts and Continuations on on tumblr!!)

"How much is it?” I ask the cashier. “30,000 won.” She says politely. That much for a couple of dresses? I smile and hand her my card. Miyoung is lucky to have a brother like me. Who else would go on a stupid shopping spree to cheer up his sister? The lady hands me my card with a ‘Have a nice day’ and hands me a bag. “Thanks.” I say before leaving. Just as I reach for the door handle, someone on the opposite side pushes the door open. I do not look the person in the eyes, instead I bow slightly and apologize but the person does not respond. As I’m looking at the person’s feet I notice that they aren’t moving so I look up slowly. To my horror there stands Cha Jisoo. The kid I bullied in high school. The reason why LeeJoon and I hate each other. His eyes are wide and he’s frozen in place. “Cha-Cha Jisoo…” I begin starting towards him but he quickly steps back. “I hoped I would never see you again.” He says, shaking. I had hoped the same thing but here we are. “Cha Jisoo, I’m not going to hu…” but, before I could finish my sentence, the kid takes off. I sigh. Why is he still so afraid? We’re adults now; can’t we face this issue like men? I stick my hands in my pockets and start down the street.

“Which would you like?” the ajumma asks Junhyun and Taemin. They grin and point out what they want. “Araso...” the lady laughs. This was one of the weeks I had to pick up Junhyun and I must admit…he brings out the better half of Taemin. I don’t know how they’ve gone from enemies to best friends so fast but I’m not complaining. “Ani, Junhyun-ah…you eat it like this.” Taemin instructs. Junhyun watches, then mimics Taemin. “What? Have you never had odeng before?” I ask him. He shakes his head. “I only did things like this with my mom, but she doesn’t have time anymore.” He says, taking another bite. “I don’t have a normal family.” He adds. “It’s okay. We don’t have a normal family either. Most people only eat odeng in winter but we like it any time.” Taemin grins. Junhyun smiles and continues eating. He’s such a sweet kid. Just then I see a familiar face heading toward us. “Ajumma! Hotteok chuseyo!” he calls. She nods. This guy looked really familiar but I just couldn’t put a name to his face. He must have noticed me staring because he asks, “Can I help you?” I clear my throat. “Do we know each other?” I ask him. He shrugs. “You don’t look familiar to me.” He says. I nod. It wouldn’t have made sense anyway. I’m good at remembering people. “Perhaps…high school?” he suggests. I shake my head. “I didn’t go to high school.” I say. The guy frowns. “Then there’s absolutely no way we could know each other. Unless you were someone else I bullied in the past.” He concludes, taking his hotteok from the street vender. “Appa, we’re done.” Taemin interrupts. I smile and ruffle his hair. “Okay…let’s go then.” I say before saying goodbye to the stranger. “Where should we go now?” I ask them. “Where do you want to go Junhyun?” Tae asks. Junhyun shrugs. “Anywhere.” He says. The rest of their conversation is zoned out because I’m still trying to figure out how I know that guy. What was the last thing he said? Someone he’s bullied in the past? He was a bully? “What’s wrong?” I hear Tae ask after a while. I shake my head. “Aniya…” “Well, we have to hurry home because its uncle Jisoo’s first day at the house. I want to beat him there.” Tae says. I nod. I forgot Jisoo was supposed to be staying with us. My mind hasn’t been in the right place at all lately. That’s when it hits me. Bully…Jisoo….it all made sense. That was the kid that almost killed Jisoo in high school! I thought Joon would’ve killed him already. I turn around quickly to see if he was still there but he wasn’t. He was gone.

Chapter 22: This is really good. Even though it still has the mystery of why each character is connected it's easy to follow.
