Jessica's POV

My life was once perfect.

I had a wonderful boyfriend, a step-sister that was always there for me, everyone in school that wants to be friends with me, everyone envies me, boys that wishes to be my boyfriend. 

Life was just perfect. 

All in all, I was the most popular girl in school, along with my sister.

Both me and my sister have promised to each other that we would never have bestfriends.

You may think its ridiculous but we treated each other as best friends and we didn't want to get distant with each other.

We could dance well, sing well and be dressed in the nicest clothes. 

Yes, we are very rich, we live in a huge mansion. 

Our parents were the richest people in Korea.

We had mansions in California and Korea.

Our both hometowns. 

You could say that I was satisfied with my life.

But who knew? 

One day, everything crashed down on me. 

The worst things happened in the same week.

How horrible is that? 

It happened a month ago..

Ringgg~ Ringgg~

"Go and answer the phone!!" Yuri shouted from the kitchen.

I lazily got up from my sofa and picked up the phone.

"Hello"

"This is from the police, are you from the Kwon family?" 

"Yes, what is it?"

"We are sad to announce that Mr Kwon and Mrs Kwon has passed away in a car accident." 

The moment I heard the news, I was dumbfounded. 

I was hoping that I heard the wrong thing.

"I-II'm sor-ry, what did you just sa-y?" 

I stuttered.

"Mr Kwon and Mrs Kwon has passed away in a car accident, I am sorry but the doctors couldn't save them." 

I dropped the phone to the ground.

My legs turned jelly and I fell afterwards.

Tears flow down my cheek uncontrollably.

Everything was rushing to my head at once.

I didn't have any parents when I was born into this world.

My bilogical dad has died of cancer and my mum died after giving birth to me.

Leaving me with no parents. 

I was sent to an orphanage, I was basically living in the orphanage for 5 years till my new family came to my life.

They adopted me and treated me well.

Eventhough they were rich, they didn't look down on me or treat me as a slave.

They were the most caring and understanding parents.

"Who was it?" Yuri ran to the living room.

"Oh my gosh, what happened to you? Who was it on the phone? Sica, are you alright?" Yuri sat down next to me.

"Da-dd and m-um di--ed" I stuttered continuously.

"What? I can't hear you properly" 

She picked up the phone and answered it.

"I am sorry about what happened but why did you call?"

"We are from the police force and as we were saying, Mr Kwon and Mrs Kwon has died in a car accident. We are sorry about what happened."

Yuri had the same reaction as mine, she couldn't take it but to break down in tears.

"Thanks.."

She said before hanging up.

We hugged each other and cried all day. 

We didn't stop crying for days. 

My boyfriend, Baekhyun, tried every way to comfort me. 

I couldn't stop crying at the funeral, my eyes were red and swollen. 

It was only till two weeks later that we told each other that we need to stay strong, our parents wouldn't want to see us in this state.

We need to move on with life. 

Our parents possessions have been splited to the both of us. 

We needed to be in charge of the restaurants, hotels, shopping malls,schools, etc. 

Both of us tried to do a good job in continuing their business.

We could work from home, but all we have to do is to make sure that the reports that they gave us are all in place. 

After thinking that this will be the only bad problem that could happen, I was proven wrong. 

It was three days after we settled everything after our parents passed on. 

I was at Baekhyun's house for a overnight stay. 

At first, I wanted to just stay home since my sister would be alone.

But yuri convinced me that she needed to check on some reports and she would be busy anyways, therefore I agreed.

We were cuddling and watching a movie. 

"You know that I love you right?" He said and smiled

"Yes and I love you too." 

Ringgg~ Ringggg~

"Be right back babe, I need to answer a call."

He got up from the couch and went to the bathroom.

I was curious, why couldn't he answer the phone here? 

Why must he go to the bathroom? 

Therefore, I decided to eavesdrop on him.

I know that this is a horrible thing to do since I should trust my boyfri
