"So I see your attitude has not changed after your little sleep."
Staring at the man behind the desk, it was hard not to recognise him. Dara and Myungsoo's brother had cut his hair into a stylish short cut, which highlighted his handsome features which looked similar to Myungsoo’s. Smiling at me across the desk in a sharp suit he resembled a business man and Mr Gray from 50 Shades Of Grey came to my mind. I knew I shouldn’t have read that book.
"Little sleep?" I scoffed, my defenses up. "More like after I was drugged. That's illegal, by the way."
"Are you going to run to the police?" He asked, and smirked confidently as I faltered. "Right, I didn't think so."
"You don't know me. For all you know they might already be on the way. My Mother and aunt will be wondering where I am and have probably already rang the police-"
"I don't think so." He gestured across his desk to the two seats opposite. "Take a seat, Yoon-Hana."
"The police are looking for me." I lied. "So you should let me go now before they-"
"The police aren't looking for you." He snapped, and seemed to make an effort to calm himself. "Now sit. Down."
I felt my bottom lip tremble slightly at the harshness at his tone and sat town on one of the chairs feeling scolded by this terrifying man. Smiling contently as I did as he asked, the man spoke again.
"Let me start off by telling you that the police aren't looking for you, because I left your Mother a note telling them you were going on a trip. As expected, when she went to speak to Dara about it, Dara in turn informed Myungsoo, who is now on his way here to ‘rescue’ you."
"Myungsoo's coming?" The hopefulness in my voice was so obvious that I felt a pang of embarrassment.
"Yes, it seems my dear brother is finally coming home." He sighed wistfully and cocked his head to the side to study me. "If I'd have known all it took was to kidnap his flavour of the week than I'd have done it years ago. Who knew a nice and legs was enough to get my dear little brother to pay me a visit!"
"Excuse me?" I spluttered, taken back by his crude words and casual tone he used to deliver them. My cheeks, I was pretty sure, were flaming and I cross my arms to try shield my body, self-conscious despite his words. "I-I'm not..." I wasn't even sure where to begin. "Don't talk about me like that!"
"I'll talk to you how I like." I stared at him, slack jawed and completely infuriated.
He was, I was beginning to realise, completely worse than Myungsoo and if I wasn't so scared right now I'd have been more than happy to knock him down a peg. But at the moment, all I could do was keep myself from bursting into tears of fear and frustration at yet again another situation I found myself powerless in. That's all that seemed to happen to me lately.
"Who are you?"
"I'm Myungsoo's older brother, I thought that was obvious. If what you're asking is what my name is, then it's Kim Woo Bin."
"Why are you doing this?" I asked softly. "What have I ever done to you?"
"Nothing." He regarded me impassively. "This isn't even about you."
"Then why bring me here?"
"I told you. I want to talk to Myungsoo, and the only way to do that is to lure him here. To be honest, I wasn't sure if this would even work, since I've heard about how much he dislikes you. He must really be taking this Branding business seriously."
