He undoubtedly looks like an alive corpse and acts like a drunkard who has completely lost his mind. "Especially on past midnight" he lets out a force chuckle before glancing at the person beside him. "Want another glass of gin and tonic?"   "No, thank you. I haven't had beer or any kind of alcohols for one month. I'm afraid I'd get drunk if I drink too much" his companion replies with a slight smile.    Jiyong irks his eyebrows. "Really? I thought you're a strong drinker. Remember back in college when we were partying with our colleagues, we made a competition of who could drink three bottles of beer without getting drunk or pass out? You actually won that game, fair and square" he pauses for a minute to look at the other's face. "You've changed, Stephanie Hwang"   "Every woman in this world will stop drinking when they think they're going to have a baby" the female responds right after she took a sip of her drink. She really thought she was pregnant when reality hit her head by proving that she was not. Not that she is ready to have a living organism inside her womb- well, that is what we call a baby, it is just that she wanted to make Seunghyun happy since he has made her feel so contented. He has given her feelings that she never felt before, he still gives her butterflies whenever he talks. Just hearing his deep baritone voice can make her go all weak.    That statement of hers makes Jiyong gape in shock. "You-you're p-pregnant?" now he even stutters. She is not even married to him yet but she is pregnant? He cannot believe what he just heard. Slowly, he starts to rub both of his temples. When he was dating her, she was probably the most innocent and naive girl he had ever met. But now she is carrying her fiancé's baby?   Holy Molly.   He is one of a kind.   That Choi Seunghyun.    "I thought I was" the female utters in almost inaudible sound. Holding her glass tightly, she continues, "I really thought I was. Or at least, I hope I was pregnant" Tiffany does not even know what to feel anymore. She is heartbroken, disappointed, and devastated at this moment. "But no worries, I'm not really sad about it" she manages to curve a slight smile. If she is not sad because of the baby that has never been inside her belly, what is the cause then?   It's his words.   Seunghyun's words that have been stuck inside her head.   It's his face.   His kind of face that he showed her when he talked to her.   His face and expression somehow meant that he wished for the old Tiffany to come back to him and his arms again. The kind of face that made Tiffany jealous of herself. Of course, Seunghyun has told her how much she means to him and that he has forgotten about the past. But they did so many things together, they must have been doing things that they probably cannot do this time around. It is not his fault, it is absolutely not Seunghyun's fault. She believes Seunghyun meant what he said. But that only led her to blame herself all over again, just like the first time she felt like hurting his feelings when she lost all of her recent memories.    Tiffany had been blaming on herself after that accident happened, until Seunghyun told her it was not anyone's fault, until Seunghyun told her genuinely that he would always love her no matter what happen in the end, until Seunghyun gave her strength to move on by telling her that he forgot about whatever happened in the past and he just desired to love this 'new version' of her, until she saw his expression that explained sadness, until she is now blaming herself again. It appears that no matter how many times Seunghyun tells her how much he loves her, she will continue to end up denying his feelings and confessions.   Getting a snap back to reality, Tiffany shakes her head vigorously before tilting her head to the side a little bit and asks, "Why did you suddenly want to meet up with me, Jiyong?" Well, they kind of agreed to start building a friendship, yet Tiffany never thought that he would call her in the middle of the night just to have a conversation with her. So, she has assumed that there is something wrong. Really, really wrong, perhaps. Gaining nothing but a sigh, she decides to ask him another question. "Does it have anything to do with Taeyeon?"   "How do you know that?" the male returns the female's question with a question. Is he being way too obvious about it? Does his face keep showing Taeyeon's face to other people, or at least, to Fany? Realizing that they probably do not have that much time, he starts to tell her everything. "Let's just say that I accidentally hooked up with Uee. Somehow Tae found out about it and she ignored me. At first, I tried to call her and leave thousands of messages in her cellphone, I even left a bunch of voicemails. I got nothing in return, not even a text message nor a missed call"   He stops for a while to pour some vodka into his glass. He has drunk seven glasses of vodka already and still he does not plan to stop doing so. He always thought that he was not a strong drinker, so he actually is pretty impressed that he has not drunk now. "After more than two weeks, I couldn't take it anymore. So, I went to her house the other day and I got scolded by both her sister and father. They used to treat me like a major part of their warm family, but I guess not anymore" a bitter chuckle escapes his pale lips. "Her father kicked me out of their house, but I still wanted to see her. So, I waited outside"   "In a cold weather like this? How did you manage to survive?"   "Simply because I desired to see her face. It's all because I wanted her to forgive me. Even if I had to beg, believe me, I would"   The Dragon would beg for a girl's forgiveness? The Dragon, someone like Kwon Jiyong would do such thing? Who in the world would ever believe that? Even our dear Tiffany cannot believe what she just heard, maybe there are some issues with her hearing.   "Not long after, she was back. Then I saw her coming out of a car..." his facial expression suddenly darkens, his voice becomes huskier. "There's a guy.."    Jiyong still remembers clearly of the way she told him that she love that other man, whoever he is, The Dragon does not even know ( or remember ) that guy's name, not that he wants to know anyway. It just hurt him to know that Kim Taeyeon stopped loving him. It just hurt to realize that everything is just simply too late, way too late.    Jiyong comes back to the full circle.   Just like when he realized how important Stephanie Hwang was.   It is not karma.   History just easily repeats everything by itself.   Heaving a huge sigh, Tiffany utters "His name's Park Jungsoo" Truthfully, she was planning to pretend like she knew nothing about this. At first, she was solicitous to feign as if this is a shocking news. The Eye-smile Princess somehow did not want Jiyong to know that she met Taeyeon at the mall along with her new boyfriend. Even so, Tiffany promised herself that she would never tell The Dragon how lovey-dovey they were, Jungsoo and Taeyeon.   As the male looks at the female in disbelief, she continues "I met them at the mall a few days ago, not in purpose, obviously" Nope, she is not telling him the rest of it. Perhaps she will not tell Jiyong that she actually was sort of hanging out with the new couple, let that be a secret instead. "What are you gonna do now, Jiyong?" There is definitely a concern in her voice, knowing that no matter what happens she will always consider the man as one of her good friends. Besides, he is her fiancé's best buddy. Tiffany believes that everyone can be friends with her/his ex.   If only everyone thinks like her...   So she has already known about this... He thinks to himself. Jiyong wonders if there is anything else that Tiffany wants to share with him, but apparently there is no more. Silence has covered the atmosphere for five minutes now, none of them is willing to break the ice. It takes more than ten minutes for him to finally answer her question, at last. "I want her back. I wanna tell her the truth, about my feelings... About what is actually happening to me. But I guess it's too late now"   "See? This is why everything never works out between the two of you. This is also the reason why WE didn't work out" The woman responds immediately, stressing the word 'we'. "You always have negative thoughts inside your mind, so no matter what you do, you will always end up giving up. You asked me out just because of that bet with Ok Taecyeon. Again, he finishes his eighth glass of vodka in one shot. "Soon, I'll die"   "Jiyong, don't say that.." Tiffany mumbles with a tear-stained face. She understands, she has known all along yet she always refuses to everything in.    Realizing a tear drop from one of her beautiful eyes, Jiyong curves a slight smile and wipes her tear away with his thumb. I really really loved you, I'm not lying this time. I hurt you so bad, for that I'm sorry..
