Two years ago.

Finally, we arrived at America. The breeze of wind was very different compared to Seoul. We went out of Mr. Kang's private plane and a chauffeur was already outside, waiting for us. The chauffeur escorted us to the black limo and opened the door for me and Mr. Kang. Chanyeol sat in front while Mr. Kang and I sat at the back. As we passed different roads, Mr. Kang's mouth was relentless. He kept on asking about my life and mom's past. Seriously? Just who is this Mr. Kang?

Several minutes passed and the limo stopped moving. We stopped in front of a mansion. We went out of the car and my eyes widened when I saw the elegance and beauty of the said mansion. As I admired the uniqueness of the mansion, Mr. Kang and Chanyeol just smiled at my innocence. We entered inside and a line of maids bowed their heads and greeted us.

"Let's go upstairs. Your mom is waiting for you."

I smiled at excitement. Mom and dad, I'm here with you at last! After spending amounts of steps, we stopped in front of a room. Mr. Kang gestured me that mom was inside of that room. Chanyeol told us that he'll just wait there outside. Mr. Kang and I entered. As soon as I opened the door, a lady was already in my sight. My mom.

"Sehun ... my son."

"Mom!"

With that, I hurried towards her and we embraced each other. Tears started to form in my eyes due to the happiness I felt that time. She cupped my face as tears were endlessly flowing out from her eyes. Few seconds passed and we both calmed down. I wondered where dad is.

"Dad ... where is he?"

She frowned and turned away her look from me.

"Your dad ... he already passed away last week."

"MOM! WHAT ARE YOU SAYING!"

"He was already suffering from an illness and doctors told me that he can't be cured anymore."

"AND YOU JUST LET HIM DIE?!"

"Son! Of course not! The doctors did their very best! I did my best to take care of him but ... but ..."

"Mom ... when did he died?"

"Last month."

"LAST MONTH?!"

"Nae."

Last month. Last month was dad's death. Last month was the time when Luhan and I met. Last month when ... I fell in love with him.

"By the way mom, who is Mr. Kang? Is this his place? Why are we here? Is it true he really owns the Kang Enterprises?"

"He is my boyfriend."

"What?! Dad just passed away last month and you already have a boyfriend now?! Seriously?! What's wrong with you!"

From what I heard from mom's mouth, I bolted away from that room. Mr. Kang and mom became worried. Chanyeol followed me.

"Hey, where are you going? Come with me."

I did what Chanyeol told me and we ended up inside a spacious and elegant room with a large bed.

"Where are we?"

"Do you like it here? This is going to be your room."

"Eh?"

"Yeah. You are lucky that your'e mom is Mr. Kang's girlfriend. Mr. Kang is very kind and helpful."

"So you know that he and mom are in a relationship?"

"Of course! I am Mr. Kang's assistant anyways."

"Tch. I hate my mom for quickly replacing my dad."

"Go on, I have nothing to say with that."

"I really hate them. I shouldn't have come along with you!"

"I was an orphan. One morning, Mr. Kang arrived at the orphanage. As soon as our eyes met, he immediately took me with him. That was a very long time when I was a little."

"And what are you trying to tell me this time?!"

"Why don't you trust him? Give him some time to prove himself."

Few minutes passed and I calmed myself. Chanyeol took canned drinks for us from the fridge inside.

"Hey Sehun. Since you are going to be a rich kid starting today, let me show you some websites on the internet which our company usually visits."

He opened his laptop and quickly went to internet browser. He typed the website on the search bar.

"Okay first, this is an auction site. Mr. Kang usually visits this site personally. Oh! Did you hear that sound? There's a new entry! Let's check it out."

After a few clicks Chanyeol did, I saw a familiar picture. A very familiar picture. Is that Luhan's place? I analyzed the details and I was right. That was a property of Lu family. But why is Luhan's place in auction? Did something happen to them?! Luhan ... please be alright.

While we were browsing the internet, a maid called us telling us that it's time for dinner. Chanyeol and I made our way downstairs to the large dining area. The dining table was very huge. Mom and Mr. Kang were already on their seats. They looked at me in a worried manner when Chanyeol and I arrived. Mom tried to say something but I abrupted her that I'm okay. I smiled at mom and Mr. Kang. Yeah, I am really okay. Let's try giving Mr. Kang a chance to prove himself to mom and I.

After we finished sharing our dinner, Chanyeol went upstairs first to his room. Mom went upstairs to prepare their bed, leaving me and Mr. Kang alone. I walked towards him and asked something.

"Mr. Kang ... I'm sorry but ... I know this is too early but ... can I ask a favor?"

"What is it?"

"Well, Chanyeol showed me an internite site ... an auction site ..."

"And then?"

"I ... I saw something ... I really want to buy that house in Seoul! Please! Mr. Kang! Buy it for me please. I'm begging you!"

"Sehun? Is that house really important to you?"

"Nae! That house ... I used to be there when I was at Seoul."

"Alright. I'll buy it later."

"Really?!"

"Yeah! And by the way ... if you don't mind ... can you call me "dad" instead of Mr. Kang? If that's okay ..."

"Dad ... dad? I'll try my best ... dad!"

That night, we erupted into laughters. Mr. Kang ... my new dad was not that bad. In fact, he was really kind just what Chanyeol said. I went back upstairs to my room with a smile crept on my face and at the same time, a worried feeling inside of me. I'm happy because dad will buy Luhan's place for me and I'm worried because of Luhan. What is happening to them?! I hope he is alright!
