I made a turn from the toilet door and walked down the stairs. My instincts brought me to his classroom. I got woke up from my thoughts but was still a distance away from the classroom door.
"What am I doing?" I held onto my ponytail and sulked.
I took a deep breath and muttered,
"What should I do now? Continue walking? Or turn back and walk the long way?"
"Aniya, today is the last day of semester, why not just cherish it?" I nodded with my statement and my lips form a straight thin line.
I started to act. Act like I wasn't purposely walking past their classroom. I pretended to fiddle with my uniform even before I reached his classroom. Right before I reach the classroom door, a tall figure came running out, nearly knocking into me.
His eyes were on mine again, it met with the same familiar pair of dark brown eyes I was yearning to look in to.
"Yah, I told you to watch where you're walking. You nearly bumped into someone. Sorry." Baekhyun's voice forced me to look away.
I smiled lightly, and left.
I couldn't help, but looked back once.
I wondered if you looked back too, because I was too afraid to look again the second time.
I should let the feeling of embarrassment from rejection go away. Some time has passed. He couldn't remember anymore, so why should I dwell on it?
I sighed and let out a pleased smile.
"Okay, last day of semester, you got your wish. The only thing left is to forget." Filling with confidence, I walked into my classroom, and meeting Kris's burning eyes. Feeling motivated, I rapidly picked up the rag from the bucket and wiped the tables. Kris tried to control his giggle when I turned around to give him a wink.
