The young man's hands grabbed ahold of the cold railing on top of the sixty-eight story building, with tears streaming down his face, staining his white shirt collar. The sounds of the city rushed far beneath him, along with the water colored lights and cars from the tears in his eyes. The harder he wept, the harder he held on. The air had recently turned cold with the coming of winter. With only a buttoned down shirt, black jeans and red converse, his body trembled as the chilled air hugged him. A voice from behind broke the silence.
               "Stop!" the voice belonged to an average sized fellow, with black hair that stopped above shoulder. His eyes glittered with concern and worry as his chest inflated with cold oxygen to catch his breath.
"Don't...you dare." 
The red shoe'd young man stood up straight and wiped at his tears but didn't turn to look at him.
"You can't do this. You can't leave me."
Hearing this, the boy became frustrated.
               "Don't you think I don't know that?!" his voice echoed through the empty air. "But...I don't want to do this anymore."
The black haired boy's shoulders slumped and his eyes filled with a black sadness. He wanted desperately to make him smile again but he could think of nothing in this world that could comfort him- so instead he walked over and gently placed his hand on top of his.
               "It'll be okay..."
Red shoes' hand  jerked away from underneath his and spun around to look at him. The black haired young man finally got to see his face up close. It was red from the blood that rushed to his head, heated up from anger. But his eyes told him how scared he really was.
               "I love you...so much..."
The wind blew by disrupting their silence. He continued, "And I want to be with you more than anything else. But if my parents ever see me with you again, they'd get rid of you and you know they would." His jaw tensed and his breathing managed to calm. "But if I can't be here with you than I don't want to be here at all."
The young man with the red shoes started to cry once more and fell into his loves arms. The other held him, staring blankly ahead, slowly his hair. Lost in deep thought, he seemed to be in a trance. Finally he softly spoke, 
               "...Then, I don't want to be here either."
Red shoes lifted his head and sniffled.
               "What?"
Black hair grabbed ahold of his shoulders and looked him in the eye.
               "How about it then? If you go, I go." His lips parted to reveal a smile. Eyes shining just as bright as ever.
He turned back to the buildings edge and held out his hand for Red shoes.
"Together...?"
Red shoes hesitated and wiped his eyes with the back of his wrist, grinned and took ahold of his hand.
               "...Forever."
Tightening their grips on each others hands, they helped one another climb over the railing and onto the roofs ledge.
               "On the count of three."
               "One..."
               "...Two..-"
               "Wait!" Red shoes interrupted.
               "What is it?" They looked at each other.
               "...I love you." He said softly.
Black hair smiled with his wet eyes and said, "I love you too" softly planting a kiss on Red shoes lips. Both nodded and looked forward.
               "Three!" They both shouted and leaped into the air, holding hands.
