Description
The story of Australian raised korean Choi Seung-hyun's journey to find his real parents. However along the way his search is interrupted by a blonde haired boy known as G-Dragon. What happens when these two meet? and how does GD change T.O.P's life forever?
Foreword
As a little boy I grew up dreaming big dreams, hoping and praying for them to become a reality. Slowly I realised that things would never turn out the way I had imagined them as a kid. When you’re a kid no one ever prepares you for the constant suppression by your peers, family and role models. No one actually believes you can ever do it. And after a while you start to believe that they’re right and that no matter how hard you try you will always be beneath them.
However when I grew up and reached my teens I realised something. The reason people push you down so much is because they themselves could never even dream to have a dream as big as yours. Jealousy turns the innocent and the sweet into those full of malice and hate. So once I was in my final year of high school and had already given up I got back into my hobbies from year 10. I started listening to Asian music again and got entrapped into the culture with only 2 weeks till my university exams began.
The timing was horrible, staying up all night just to find out what would happen in the next episode of your favourite drama, but it was something I needed. Going back to watching idols and dream romances I got my dream back. My big dreams. My impossible dreams. I got my drive, my motivation and my hope back. Though it was too late for my exams I knew I could succeed next year, in my first year out of uni I knew I could achieve it all, or at least being to.
So during my exam period while all my peers studied to get the best possible results, I listened to my music, kept up my social life, researched my dreams and stayed up to date with my dramas. It sounds stupid and even destructive but it was my medicine in this hopeless and part of my life.
For years I had gotten by because of my great bullting skills. I had lead everybody to believe I knew where I was going and how to get there and that I was nearly there, heading on the right path. I fooled them and for a while I managed to fool myself. But soon the pressure became too much and it came crashing down. Reality came knocking with the slip of my marks in my tests and after a while I realised I was too far gone when I had teachers voicing their concerns for me. But no matter what anybody did I would not get my drive back for school, school was over for me but life wasn’t.
Life was only beginning, there was the start of a new year slowly approaching.
Now let me tell you a little bit about myself, I was a poor kid growing up, I was a Korean born orphan but was adopted and raised in Australia throughout my childhood and adolescence. After my 18th birthday my adoptive parents got into a car accident and were killed. And so begun my journey back to Korea to try and find my real parents.
Oh yeah and my name is Choi Seung-hyun, but I’m known by the T.O.P. If anybody knew my real name I would have been in jail years ago… Let’s just say I wasn’t the best behaved adopted kid, No matter how hard I tried.
