Sungmin raises an eyebrow at Lu Han, who’s standing in the doorway like the confident person Sungmin knows he is, and has always known he is.

“Good afternoon,” Sungmin says, thinking he may as well speak first. The rest of Super Junior are off rehearsing elsewhere and Sungmin’s supposed to be practising, but he thinks a momentary diversion is in order.

Drawing attention to Lu Han causes the younger man to draw himself up to his full height (not that they aren’t the same height) and he bats his eyelashes. “Hyung~,” he says in a beautiful imitation of Sungmin’s old aegyo, back before Sungmin decided aegyo was terrible and he hated it. Ryeowook was always better at it anyway.

“Lu Han,” he replies, a slight smile on the edge of his lips.

Lu Han walks over and there’s an edge to him, a curve to his body, a swaying in his hips that Sungmin hasn’t seen before—but ultimately likes. He likes this side of Lu Han.

“I thought we weren’t going to do this anymore,” Sungmin says, with one eyebrow raised. “I thought you had—”

“Hyung,” Lu Han repeats, “stop talking.”

Kissing Lu Han is just the same as it always has been. Nobody sees how Lu Han is when he’s with Sungmin—the strength in his eyes, the way he holds himself. Nobody knows how Lu Han softens when Sungmin takes the upper hand. Nobody sees how Sungmin is able to soften for Lu Han. They have a beautiful relationship; equal, balanced. Sungmin doesn’t get chances with Lu Han often, but when he does, it’s like they’re what he lives for, what makes his heart beat.

They never do stop doing this.
