Cure
Destiny BondThe words sliced through the air like a blade, doing more damage than a katana cutting through flesh. You were paralyzed by the
severity of the cruel outcome. You were barely an adult, as was Chanyeol. Now, you were putting someone you cared about through
this. If it truly was permanent, then surely you'd just potentially ruined Chanyeol's life. No wonder you felt affection for him after the
exchange - you'd spiritually bonded.
'But I'm not a vampire!' You protest, using your race as a last resort for freedom.
'She's right,' Chanyeol came out weakly, as if his throat tissue had become painfully infected, as if he was supressing extreme anger. 'She's a half-blood... Biologically.'
Tao took in the words respectfully and analyzed them for a moment or two. Each second being more painful that the last.
'Well, there might be one way. But if that's so - ____ Chanyeol could now be classed as your dominus. If he so desires to start his own clan anyway...'
Still hanging on the banister for the sake of support - he looked as though he was going to pass out - Chanyeol didn't respond. His emotions were in another plane for all he cared.
'How will the bond be broken, then?' You interrupt, using the shelves on the bookcases as things to help you pull yourself up after
being thrown across the room twice by someone who was way stronger than you.
'For a biological half-blood. you can either make a stronger bond before the previous one sets in, but the only possible stronger bond
is through the transformation, and the love has to be real, not artificial as caused by an after-effect of the blood on the brain. Plus,
your aura around here is ridiculously strong for a half-blood so it's inevitable.'
Still influenced by the exchange, you heard Chanyeol rebel with, 'But isn't the process really complicated?'
'Not really, so long as it's with a much stronger vampire, or another half-blood, even.'
'Fine, I'll do what it takes to calm everything down.' Now standing up, you stepped over the books and towards Tao.
'Are you absolutely sure about this?' He comes down to your height as collapse - your legs still weak.
'It's inevitable - right?'
Tao stood you up again, and snarled at Chanyeol, 'Get out of here, don't speak a word of what you've done.'
Cowaring in the face of Tao's wrath, he nodded with wide eyes before merging into his strawberry-haired canine self and departing
through the front door. Afterwards, he turned to you, and got down on one knee. Already, your face was flushed rose, you could feel it
in the bloodflow - a new sense picked up through the exchange.
'____, will you spend the rest of eternity with me?'
*SPOILER*
Sorry for such a short chapter, in the next chapter, I promise to make the wedding ceremony eventful, as with the main character's transformation and to how the others such as Jaehyo - makes an appearance - react to everything.
