'The duty of a Grim Reaper

is one of the upmost highest honors,

here in the underworld.

That's what Kris has been told his whole life, well, his undead life anyways. When he was sent to Hell as his final resting place, he was very luckily chosen to be a Reaper. Reapers are a organization of very few who posesssed adept skills in their old lives. Kris was one of them, although he doesn't know which of those skills they are, because after death, there are very few who have an recollection of their past being. He doesn't even remember why he was sent to Hell in the first place.  All Kris knows to do now is to bring forth those who are chosen to the underworld, where they will rot and burn for eternity. Kris, being a Reaper, doesn't have to face the many consiquences the Underlings do.

The Underlings are the many souls who are brought to the underworld, rotting, burning, for the rest of existence. And Kris is one of the many that bring them to this fate. Underlings are almost the lowest rank in the underworld, one place higher would be the Demons. Demons are creatures of immense scorcery that take the form of the most disturbing beasts. They only serve as helpers to others above them, slaves even. Though, right above them are the Reapers, where Kris lies. Reapers appear not in beast form, but are aloud to keep their bodily shape, hiding themselves in black hoods, and wield large scythes. Scythes that are said to be crafted of the melted heart of themselves. Above the reapers are the Council, the rulers of Hell. There are even rumors of a power even before the Council.

 This isn't the story of Kris though.
