Red Skys and Royal Cards
Luhan’s POV
I knew how to track through bonds better than any of the others, better then any Warrior. And I knew something was off the minute I made the connection with Chanyeol’s bond. His bond didn’t feel like someone’s who was just mad and wandering, it felt weak and powerless. Since his bond felt like this, it was going to be hard to be able to locate him. Chanyeol would always be weaker than the bond, and that was not a good thing at all.
Being the first to reach Chanyeol I tried to locate him, but it was impossible. Something was obviously wrong with him because the bond wouldn’t even allow me to get even a glimpse of his surroundings or a relative location. Pulling out and back into myself I shut my walls down and waited for the others to do the same.
Chanyeol didn’t want to be found. That was my only explanation right now, I didn’t want to think of the possibility that he was hurt and weak. We can shut the bond off if we want to and give off the same feeling, so I was going to cling to the possibility that that was the reason. It had to be, or we had more problems to deal with.
One by one the others came back to themselves and shut their walls down. I could tell they all had the same thoughts as mine. Unless Chanyeol wanted to be found, we weren’t going to find him. It was hard to accept the fact that maybe he did leave for good and was blocking the bond so that we couldn’t find him.
“You don’t think Chanyeol is hurt do you?” Sehun asked, a little afraid of the answer he might be given
I sighed, “We can only hope not.”
“Chanyeol wouldn’t leave over something like this, it’s just not like him.” Baekhyun argued.
“Then if not that, what? He’s hurt? Dying? I would rather he leave then that be the case.” D.O growled.
“Could any of us get even a hit of a location?” Chen asked hopefully only to gain the shakes of heads from the rest.
Chanyeol was officially missing with the possibility of being injured. Yeah, we had some problems on our hands. And if Sky ever found out, she would only cause herself more harm, blaming herself for what happened. We need to find him as soon as possible before things get worse.
“I’m going to go out and look for him, would you join me, Sehun?” I asked getting up from the floor. We need to start looking, and fast. I don’t want him gone any longer, Sky will only get worse the longer he is away. We don’t have much time before classes start up again, and he had to be back before then.
Two days is all we have to find him. It better be enough.
Sehun and I had already made our way through the whole campus; no sign he had been around here recently. It was well past sunset by the time we made it back to the house. No sign of Chanyeol and worry starting to bother the two of us.
“Should we keep looking?” Sehun asked as we stopped in front of the house.
“It would be best if we did.” I replied as we started to head towards the entrance to the campus, “Chanyeol doesn’t know much about the area around here, so we should look in places Sky has taken us that he might go to.”
Sehun nodded and we began our trek into an unfamiliar city that we knew nothing about. We better find Chanyeol or I was not going to be in a good mood. I don’t like not knowing where I am, it’s like going through a maze and never knowing if there is an exit or not. But cities are even more confusing then a simple maze since they have more than one exit and millions of starting points.
“Do you really think Chanyeol would leave us?” The younger boy asked me.
I wanted to be able to say that Chanyeol would never do that. But we all have changed so much that I can’t be certain that he wouldn’t do that now. Before, none of us would let this separate us, but things are different now. We have all changed and we have become more unpredictable in our actions and motives.
“I don’t know, Sehun. I really hope he wouldn’t, but none of us know for certain if he really wouldn’t leave.” I didn’t like that I had to give him such an open answer, but I really had no better response now.
“Does he hate us?
