Red Skys and Royal CardsA/N
A little angst in this chapter
Enjoy~
(P.S: please read Author's Note at the end of the chapter~)
Reluctantly I grabbed the Card from D.O and looked it over. The picture on the front was of fire falling from the sky. It as a strange picture, but I couldn’t really complain.
I grabbed the notebook. Do I have to? I scribbled and showed the group.
“Yes.” Was all they said.
Can you explain for me? I wrote and pouted as cutely as possible. I can’t do any explaining without my voice, so if they wanted me to Claim this Card it’s on them to explain my rules to the new Warrior.
“Fine, Sky.” D.O gave in.
Smiling happily I raised the Card and kissed it softly. Just like when I first kissed Chanyeol’s Card, a beautiful heat rushed through my veins. I tucked the Card away in the card case and took a sip from the tea D.O made me. It was really very good.
I was sitting on the couch between Sehun and Luhan and I didn’t want to move, neither did I want to stay sitting up. Putting the tea down on the table I swung my legs up so they were on Sehun and rested my head on Luhan’s lap, shutting my eyes.
“Master?” Came a soft, sweet voice I hadn’t heard before. My new Warrior.
I waved my hand so someone would fill him in. Thinking twice I pulled my notebook out. Don’t tell him I can talk. I scribbled and made the boys pass it around so they all knew. This new Warrior can learn without my voice until I have it back, it will be easier to train him, if he is unaware that I can’t talk at all.
“Are you sure?” Chanyeol asked me. I nodded, “If that’s what you want.”
“What’s going on?” Came the new Warrior’s voice.
“Tell Sky your name.” D.O replied.
“I don’t have one.” He’s just like the rest of them, he better not be like Suho, I can’t deal with another one like that without my voice!
“Tell her your real name, it will save us all so much time and energy.” Luhan put in. That’s it Luhan, at least you are trying to help.
“Your all serious, aren’t you?” He asked again.
“We are. Just trust Luhan that it’s okay.” Sehun added adjusting my legs so I would be more comfortable.
I could feel his gaze on me. He was silent for awhile, “Chen. My name is Chen.”
I opened my eyes to find a boy with a sharp angular face and defined cheekbones with a light brown hair that had coppery tones in the sunlight. Just as beautiful as all the others.
I smiled, since that was all I could to at the moment. Damn cold! Why now! But there isn’t much I can do but hope for the best and that this fixes itself soon so this will all be so much easier.
“Are you feeling well, Master?” Chen asked me.
I looked over at Sehun. “Call her Sky, Chen.”
Chen looked around at everyone. His gaze rested on me for the briefest of moments, before looking at the boys again, “Why are all of you talking for our Master.”
“She prefers if you call her Sky while in this house.” Suho spoke up for the first time. He’s leaning! He’s admitted to calling me Sky! Maybe a new Card was the best thing that could happen right now. Thank you Chen for helping Suho.
Chen turned his gaze to me, “Why are your Warriors speaking in your place?”
How I wish I could answer him right now. I was trapped in his entrancing brown orbs. I could see playfulness and pure happiness hidden in the depths of his eyes, and I wanted to pull it out for him to show the world. But how? I can’t talk, so I can’t tell him.
Pulling away from his eyes I looked over at Chanyeol and pouted before reaching out for him. Chanyeol has known me the longest, he would know what to do, right? Plus I was cold, and C
